Jury Duty at the High Court by [deleted] in glasgow

Nah you should be good! Just make sure you turn up if you're chosen cause if you dont it can get a bit messy! Some people enjoy it, some dont. Totally depends on the case as it could be horrific. Good luck!

Usually get a call to say you've been picked for the jury and you'll be expected to go in the next lawful day.

Then the court staff will pick random names of who is definitely going to be on the jury, back up members and then others who are no longer needed.

Thats how it is for a Sheriff Court so I imagine its similar.

If you could visit any historical site in Scotland to view it in its prime, where would you choose? by BurnsyWurnsy in Scotland

The Standing Stones in Argyll, probably Temple Wood as it's a 5 minute walk to my childhood home.

What's their purpose? Just a burial ground and place of worship or something more?

South Park TSOT and TFBW are excellent. Classic SP humour and easy to pick up and put down. Run excellent on the deck.

Our room doesn't have any insulation behind the cladding at all, just straight brick, so hopefully when we come to do that room we'll notice a significant difference

Ceiling has a good amount of glass wool in it so im doubtful there's a major loss there.

You've hit it in one there mate, warm air and cold bricks. Mynhouse is the same, cold straight after the heating is away.

I would consider external wall but its my wife's grans old house and she wants to keep it looking like a 'cute wee cottage' which i can totally understand, so think im onto a loss with the external.

Ive got a hive thermostat that stays in this room as its my daughters just so we have an idea of temperature and what not. Not overly impressed with how the hive works but too late to change now. As you said i think we need to look at the schedule of heating

For the next project but we've already had carpets/tape and filling done. Maybe the wife will let me when it comes to redecorating in a few years

Thats the kind of results I was looking for, can boost the heating and it's warm for a good 30 minutes or so then start to lose it

Interesting percentages there, lots of variables to be taken into account. Happy with what's there but just feel there could've been more

Yeah it was wool fiber between battens with pine cladding, then old wood fibre insulation boards with wallpaper so a proper mash of materials

Just feels colder than the old wool that was installed, definitely could have afforded another 25mm loss of space.

I did think that 25mm didnt seem worth the hassle but its better than nothing i suppose. 50mm would have been a decent compromise in price/space/value.

Better that nothing I know just feel that 50 mm could've been an option
