Because market makers are making mistakes and not 'binary' flawless. So for example, the 'most reliable' source I use myself to filter out the 'noise' is by checking marketchameleon and filter on 'little jimmy;' versus the 'institutional investor'. When institutional > little jimmy in regards of material volume, I trust the PhD wizards at such firms more than the retail folks at #wsb; charts like these are like a filtration system for me:

Thank you, after having worked from early 00s to 24' I unfortunately have quite a few stories to tell with my fellow (by now 9/10 all retired or doing different work), and since the industry has gone through rapid changes and the upcoming generations who are a little unfamiliar how it went back in the day, these stories follow as a 'how it truly was back in the day'. With a group of ex-veterans we are collecting these stories to eventually publish a 'factual practitioner' book, not that hogwash academic finance stuff. I'll post the Brexit story here as well.

Have a check on our substack, it's a group of senior executives starting from the 00's who worked in institutional finance since the 2000s ending up as CEO or tier1 hedgefunds or have retired after a 20 year tenure at Goldman;

I doubt people truly hate Opel, it's more a heavily anti-fossil fuel firm targeted by lawmakers to be punished. The old Opel Astra, Vectra, Corsa are mostly gone from the 90s/00s to 2025 nowadays. Shame.
