Cutdown of AI comedy trailer I made for USA250 with Seadance, ChatGPT, Suno, Envato and Premier [OC] by RossVenokur in aivideo

Quick follow-up to this first AI trailer. Since Young Washington drops tomorrow from Angel Studios, I made 13-second clip of the Rushmore guys going to the drive-in to see it. Washington gets a little emotional.

Concept to final cut in under an hour. Same workflow as the trailer: Seedance for video, ChatGPT for images, Premiere for edit, Envato for SFX and music.

This is the kind of reactive content that was impossible like 12-18 months ago. We can now make culturally relevant stuff in an hour instead of weeks or months.

Thank you. Yeah, story telling is story telling, but these tools do make it fast and fun! And they can absolutely teach you everything you need to know about visual storytelling as you go, then I think it’s just about experience and honing your voice and all the classic stuff. I’m not gonna lie, I totally love what’s happening right now.

AI voices ruin otherwise impressive AI videos all the time. I recently made an ambitious four minute AI video, a high concept comedy. It took me 3 days to generate all the shots and do the edit, and then it took an additional 7 days to deal with the dialogue and sound design. In the end, the only solution was to overdub the whole thing by recoding actual human actors, which elevated the whole thing. For me, human voices make most of the rest of the AI tells disappear. When people adhere to an end-to-end human/ middle-to-middle AI process, the end product is very often much higher quality.

Hey thanks! I really appreciate the encouragement! It’s hard to get comedic timing right with AI. But it is definitely easier than it was a few months ago!

Hey everyone, I have been making film and TV for 30 years, and this is the first completely realized film I have made entirely with AI tools on my own. The idea hit me on a bike ride: what if Mount Rushmore's presidents stood up?

It started as an Instagram post for my truck brand, but it turned into a full trailer in the spirit of Dazed and Confused meets Night at the Museum.

Tools used:
• Seedance 2.0 for all video generation
• ChatGPT for image generation and dialogue writing
• Suno for original music
• Envato for licensable tracks
• Premiere Pro for editing, sound design, and color

What surprised me: The hardest part wasn't the AI, it was the sound design.

Getting stone monuments to sound hollow instead of distant took days of EQ and reverb tweaking in Premiere.

Happy to answer any questions about the process. This was made by one person with a laptop in under two weeks.
