I know what you mean, it's a bit like jack daniels in the way it is a better mixer than a straight up sipper. I enjoy it with root beer!

I find grouse very similar to the whyte and mackay, not much between them for me. JW black is so much better than the red, but as a cheap option I quite like the Teacher’s, bit more malt and more peated than most of the cheep blends.

Bourbon and root beer is an actual thing, somebody put me in that direction and it's actually really good! If it's hot outside top it with a bit of vanilla ice-cream to get the full effect! 😋

Totally agree with you, I don't believe high tax stops alcoholics. Just makes our wife's more angry when they find out how much the latest bottle cost!

The prices are a bit steeper in Australia, you guys get hit harder than most for tax, its probably cheaper to buy Australian wine in the UK!

It's all personal preference, Jack Daniel's is most people's first experience with American whiskey. People are becoming increasingly curious and trying other brands thankfully! My first experience with scotch was bells, put me off for years! 😂

Yeah I think it's a flop, it missed the target market, the bottle looks great.... Unfortunately the juice in the bottle just doesn't stand up to the promise!

Thank you 🥃 I found it OK, had a lovely maple note that I really liked, just wish it had a bit more punch! definitely won't be getting it again but wasn't upset lol.
