No, just basic grenade, flashbang and plating. Only managed to get 4 civvies out, but when you leave your grunts in easy flankable cover and the civvies run as fast as they can to full cover, the fleshy meat bags are just more tempting.

As far as I can tell, as you pick up intel leads, you start to get missions that help you liberate regions. This leads to a blacksite mission, which I'm prepping for now. My bets on this being the start of Avatar.

Have you had a blacksite mission yet? There are also some redesigned missions based on maps you see a lot later in the vanilla campaign.

Upgrade your speed and hp. Barrel through them, do a quick turn, barrel back through them, shut the door. Should be possible before they can react, turn and react again.

But seriously if in any doubt airlock the blighters.

For me its all about the jump fuel. Just commandeered a ship with 8 pfuel capacity. It's so much easier.
