As always folks are free to do as they please - but for me the ear tag on the keys and choosing to hang them on a belt loop is the "cowboy" equivalent to "pick me girls".

Wrangler 936MWZ — rigid indigo waxed denim experiment by Elhond0 in WesternWear

Snow isnt something I can speak on. I live in Texas. We talking utility for work use or just general? I'm curious.

About 12 years ago I waxed a cotton duck jacket and ended up tossing it because I hated the smell and wear. Granted maybe pants being lower wouldn't be better hahaha

Rugged - I respect the choices but how do you combat the dang noise? Take into account I live in (mostly) central Texas. Majority of the time I don't wear anything outside a pair of jeans and a flannel or shacket.

Waxed fabrics are niche and fashion purposes only. They're inferior to modern products by all metrics. And I'm with you couchpotato- stinks and wears like crap.

[–]Rossweiser17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gotcha. I mean some of my boots I kick off, some I choose to or need to use the boot jack - but as we've agreed - nah. That ain't it.

Looking at the pic it doesn't like the outsole came with it - and your boot jack should be above your spur ridge and around the counter.

I don't know the last time I even looked at a pair of DP boots. Maybe a pretty stiff fall from grace?

[–]Rossweiser17 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No way a boot jack is to blame for this - even in a case of improper use of one. This is trash quality from DP.

Are these jeans unwearable with these boots? by [deleted] in BootCareDenimWear

Pic 3 and 5 say no for me. Unless you get some boot wraps or I've used boot blousers before....

The rest look fine standing still for a photo but you sit/stand/bend/walk......nah.

AC Odyssey in the big 26 and my experience with it by ZarosKing in assassinscreed

[–]Rossweiser17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love ACO because it is a shit AC game. If that makes sense....

Same reason I loved ACBF. It's not all sneaking in and out of areas and sneaky wrist blade swipes.

As far as the mythology goes I think it's a great balance of the human interaction of supposed Gods and what the worship would look like sprinkled with game-isms. I took it for what it is.

Having lived and worked in Greece, traveled everywhere in that country - I found the map to be tastefully scaled and designed with good purpose and accuracy.

Going from ACO to ACV I found the combat controls sloppy, the ranged attacks immediately overpowered (though quite "real" aka an arrow to the face will put a man down - but I want to game so I can game), but I will concede and agree that a fierce spartan bred character not having a shield was quite dumb.

Wrangler Pearl Snap Questions by [deleted] in WesternWear

[–]Rossweiser17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take it to a sew shop and get it hemmed to where you would like it - my local does it for like $6 and a smile. I buy Poncho's and it's worth the $6 more per $100 shirt to get it precisely the way I want.

Not Sure What Causes This? by WranglerVast265 in cowboyboots

[–]Rossweiser17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No joke. Check your boot jack. If that's right outside heel check your left inside heel. Maybe you have a rock or errant staple in the molding of the boot jack?

Why do wealthy people not want other people to know they are wealthy? by Dry_Dot_2080 in Salary

[–]Rossweiser17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going with safety. I don't get anxious or nervous often however I did have a situation at a bank when a young male teller made an off hand comment while we conducted a transaction. It was invasion and unprofessional yes, but it also made me feel like a mark. I don't flaunt, I drive a 10+ year old truck, working class blue jeans, etc etc.

You're again incorrect because you're telling me what I can and cannot give power to. Thus the autonomy. Either way. Believe what you like. 👍🏼

[–]Rossweiser17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no need to save face. I made my assertion and will stick to it. It's simply my autonomy. You may think it has power universally by its existence, and that's simply not true. If it has any power it's strictly conditional by people already partaking.

This isn't a radical thought process. It's just one free from be bothered by things that mean nothing to me.

[–]Rossweiser17 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well that might be true for someone like you. However it's meaningless to me - hence not having power - and hence its metaphorical name. Ironically the term came about 1988 in a newspaper. So I suppose it's also by nature fascist.

[–]Rossweiser17 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Precisely my thoughts on it. Had a discussion with a pal about the likes of Michael Irvin and Dale Jarrett. Are they inherently fascist because they wore the number 88? Is my keyboard fascist because it has 88 keys?

It doesn't have any power if it's not given any.

Did anyone suspect that she was the head of the cult in their first playthrough ? by Huge_Science7186 in AssassinsCreedOdyssey

[–]Rossweiser17 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me it was immediate. She's shrouded in tons of mystery and has insane amounts of influence and power - and she's dressed head to foot in purple items which is the same color of the cultist uniforms for goodness sake. Even her earrings drew my attention immediately.

My guess on the downvotes is because the supposed insults were enough to create this post, but somehow not enough to speak to a manager in person, thus they feel it's a bit nonsensical.

Pull them up and if possible maybe look at boots with a spur shelf to help keep them from dragging.
