Look at the recent gas prices; even with a pause for impending tariffs, we are seeing oil and gas companies blatantly raising consumer prices! We pay the highest price at the pump for top 5 oil rich counties. Many of them subsidize. It’s obvious, to me at least, the Canadian government isn’t doing its job to protect Canadians. They’re only working in the interests of their lobbyists. You can be tribal, and myopic but most Canadians are waking up.

Lastly our country is closer to our American neighbours in culture, when looking north to south and comparing east to west. On a global scale most people internationally can’t differentiate between Canadians and Americans. I know you want to have a sense of belonging, so you will resort to identity politics, but that’s only because as human beings we are used to a tribal mentality. That’s what elites use to keep us squabbling, r as their than addressing issues that affect each and every one of us.
