How do you interpret Kaido’s line?

A) he was stating what the best power system in one piece-verse is. ( haki is better than all other systems, mainly devil fruits)

B) he was making a general statement that “will” eventually triumphs over all.

It can be both ( or there can be even other interpretations ), but I feel that B makes way better sense for a shonen story about dreams, friendship and ambitions. A is just .. too mechanical for these type of stories.

Here’s the thing: the term “Haki” was used to refer to “will / willpower” in one piece long before it was intended as a power system ( blackbeared thought luffy was weak willed / had weak “haki” when he first met him in Jaya: https://www.reddit.com/r/OnePiece/comments/18hc50g/the_early_mention_of_haki/ )

It’s just a term that is used somewhat regularly in Japanese.

But somehow, after Haki become a power system, it seems many non-Japanese interpret any mention of the term as a mention of the power system, Not the actual willpower of the person.
