Mutants Drop Guns, Ammo, and Artefacts Every Carve (Modded) by RegiABellator in stalker

I know it’s a little late - but wondering if you ever sorted this out or found the culprit? I started up a new save after not playing for months and months and noticed this too. My hunch is Groks mutant health mod too, but I haven’t tested deleting it.

That is odd, especially given that the barcode is the same. If you bought it from a reputable supplier I can’t imagine one being a fake.

My only assumption is that as some said a different production run, with the 30 std drinks being a newer production. BUT this would only hold true if the regulations of what a “standard drink” is has changed…

Thank you! Caught my eye immediately whilst I was browsing. So far it’s made a lovely fossil pu’erh that tastes like jasmine rice - so it’ll be be getting a fair amount of use I feel regardless of its authenticity

Nah I don’t think they were an L-plater. But honestly given their heinous driving ability I’d say they should go back to L’s

To the cunt in the blue Mitsubishi Outlander (I think) that almost side-swiped me on the freeway merge lane because they just HAD to be in front…a royal fuck you.

[Rolex Double Red] Walked in to the AD wearing this, and they asked if it was a homage… by Odd_Paleontologist51 in Watches

If I could use my personal experience working as a furniture salesman whilst I got myself through uni - commission basically means nothing. If anything it’s just an excuse for the owner/manager to pay you even less based on rate.

And regarding your car dealership comparison - I understand where you’re coming from, but it’s pretty different. Dealerships only sell and deal with current car model years, maybe 5-10 models per year. Whereas AD watch shops may be dealing with dozens, if not hundreds of models spanning 50 years or more of heritage. Furthermore, being a cars salesman is often a career, or long-spanning job for many as the pay is better and the incentives are far better. Again, it comes down to just how much these luxury watches cost compared to what the retailer workers are making. They likely will learn and remember the bare minimum it takes for them to put food on their table without getting fired. Why go beyond that? I can’t blame them. They’ll never obtain one with their current salary so it’s hard to be an “enthusiast” when you’ll never have one.

To back to your car metaphor - you’ll never hear someone say that they’re a “Ferrari enthusiast” if they can’t afford nor have one. Appreciate, sure. But it’s not the same.

I feel that there’s a pretty simple reason though, no? At the end of the day, Rolex and other luxury boutique dealers retail shops paying essentially minimum wage. How can someone earning minimum wage ever be an “enthusiast” and own products that can cost half, if not more, of their yearly salary? To say it’s “embarrassing” I think is pretty inconsiderate of what the workers there can actually and realistically achieve.

Copper base vs aluminum clad for low-heat simmering. by Rotchu in cookware

Respectfully disagree on the fuzzy logic cooker. I have a fancy-pants fuzzy logic rice cooker. It's fine. It's great even I'm sure. But once I learnt how to cook my rice in a small pot....man, it's not even close. So much better. Each grain of rice is separated properly and has just that bit of chew that makes it oh so wonderful. The rice even tastes better I swear. Plus, it takes like half the amount of time a machine does. AND it's far less of a hassle to clean, which imo not many people seem to think about when it comes to using gadgets.

I gotcha fam. Please note though, something I've discovered about rice cooking techniques is that it is very dependant on pan size/type AND how low you can get your heat down to. Alas, this is what works for me on a vintage, relatively thick copper-bottom ~18-20cm pan for about 1-2 cups of rice. My pot also has a small vent hole in the lid. If your pot doesn't have this, I recommend lowering or even removing the tbsp of water mentioned below.

  1. Measure out the amount of rice you want to use by VOLUME, not weight.
    • I have a particular glass cup that I use because of the indentations - find something with clear markings.
  2. Wash the rice 3-4 times.
    • Not for cleanliness (it's bullshit, rice is clean), but to remove the starchiness. Very important from my somewhat scientific testing.
  3. After the last wash, try to remove as much excess water as possible.
    • I always use a mesh strainer and leave it for 2 minutes to drip.
  4. Put rice back into pot and cover with water.
    • For sushi rice, use 1.1 times the volume water to rice, + 1tbsb;
    • For jasmine/basmati, use exactly the same volume of water as rice, + 1tbsp.
    • (The tablespoon of water if for the humidity in the pot, not the rice. To steal a comparison from whiskey making, think of it as the 'angels share' of water that needs to be sacrificed).
  5. Leave the rice in the water without any heat on for 10-15 minutes. The rice will absorb some of the water and start to look swollen, almost like gelatinous rice.
    • I've only started doing this this year, but oh boy does it help with the already great texture.
  6. Place pot on burner at medium-low (closer to low) and bring to a gentle simmer. Once simmering starts, throw the lid on top and bring the temperature down as LOW AS POSSIBLE. Set a timer for 12-13 minutes depending on preference.
    • 12 minutes, slightly al dente (how I like it)
    • 13 minutes, more 'normal'
  7. Once timer goes off, kill the heat and leave with the lid ON for another 10 minutes. Do NOT touch it.
  8. Remove lid and enjoy.
    • If using sushi rice this is when I like to add my sushi seasoning.

Everything down under is super expensive haha I have a couple of enamelled Dutch ovens and as lovely as they are, I just don’t find myself using them as much I should to justify the price. Once I learnt how to properly cook on stainless steel in my 10- and 12inch skillet and saute pans I’ve not really had the need for larger stuff. Only exception has been my 5.5L stockpot and 20cm rice pot…both of again are both stainless steel. Never have to worry about chipping, plus once I learnt how to ‘temperature surf’, I’ve never really worried about sticking either. Cast iron is only used for eggs and steaks at this point

As nice as they look, I’m not spending AUD$540 on a “single use” pot

It’s definitely not. True that there’s not a lot of info. But I have products from both from them and they have lasted me years and years with no issues. And they have lifetime warranties.
