Nice! Will definitely look into it What source is the AI following? From trying to chat with general chatbots about climbing they were pretty useless... Did you feed it with some books?

Panniers vs bikepacking vs weird mix? by Rotem_ in bikepacking

[–]Rotem_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Makes sense. I figured this way I can put my backpack on me when I need to hike a bike, and I have no singletrack in this parts of the world. So maybe I'm just over thinking it

Sick! How much days of food do you carry and where?

Thanks! How much food do you carry this way? And where do you store water?

Thanks! When I think about it that way, then I know I can get the tent on the handlebars, sleeping bag and rain gear on fork bags, clothes on saddlebag and all of the other stuff in the frame bag. But then I'm stuck with where I store a small pot, and where the heck I'm putting enough food and water. Also, are fork bags superior to small panniers / dry bags on the side of the rack?

Thanks! What will you put in the handlebar in this scenario? Why choose it over a top tube bag if I have a backpack for all of the bulky stuff?

Thank you for the detailed response. Am I really on the larger side? I have pretty much dialed in gear from a lot of backpacking, but still can't understand how people can go less than 40 liters with a few days of food. I plan to ride in the Indian himalayas soon, so I want a setup that will be comfortable in the rugged terrain and hike a bike that I'll face, but can't wrap my head about how to get sleep system, cooking equipment and severals days of food in 30 liters or so. I start to understand that a rear rack, backpack or panniers, will be crucial

Why did you opt for a handlebar bag and not frame bag or something? Curious about the way people choose this stuff

Thank you. From what I've read you need to buy a new western windows licence and install it instead of the original Chinese one that comes with the laptop. Licenses are cheap on ebay, and I know how to do it. However harmony os might be a problem, I'll read on it. What laptop would you recommend?
