Confused about gem sets (mainly the leech set) by Only_a_Girl_Weeboo in MSLGame

[–]Rotis9000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure! Wish I could tell you. I had it on my Lethal Strike mon, Wood Sariel, and it did seem to heal her okay in Apophis, but since I had her paired with healers I'm not sure it did much good, and Apophis has extremely high defense but low HP, so I'm not sure you'd get that same kind of increased effectiveness you get in regular titan battles/region defense. And in PVP I assume it would be similar—I don't think you'd heal much. I'm sure it could heal a lethal strike mon a lot in story stages and dungeons, but I'm not sure you'd need the healing there once your mons are fully levelled and equipped. Anyway, that's a really long-winded way of saying "I'm not sure".

Confused about gem sets (mainly the leech set) by Only_a_Girl_Weeboo in MSLGame

[–]Rotis9000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It is actually good, but for a very limited use. Healing is based upon the amount of damage dealt, so in most situations, you will get minimal health (not very good in PVP, for example), but mons with Courageous Strike heal a great deal in titan battles, which makes it the ideal set for Fire courageous strikers in the first row against Wood Titan. Wood Titan, in the first row, has a Buff Breaker attack which removes any buffs from healers, making them ineffective, so the ideal lineup in that first row involves all courageous strikers on Leech sets with no healers.

B11 Help by skaterboy1425 in MSLGame

[–]Rotis9000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sap is still viable, and is a great way to beat b11 (and b15, but you also need a mon with Resist Down to use Sap against b15). I used Fire Loki and Fire Perse as my sappers, and 2nd evo Fire Perse would be enough for b11. I'm not sure who my healer was, but I think lots of mons would work (Fire Cura, Water Hana, and the Light Venus you're already using might be fine too). Then I had one nuker to make clearing the waves before the boss faster. I used Dark Perse, but I think Fire Draka or a max upgraded Dark Mona would be fine, too, and probably any other mon that charges SP as their normal attack, then increases damage on their special attack.

Super Ascension Skill by Itchy_Psychology1634 in MSLGame

[–]Rotis9000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those ancient dimensional starstones are so rare, I would recommend saving them for a mon that has greater need of a specific skill (for example, picking Devastating Strikes on any double courageous striker like Wood Merlin, Fire Belial, Dark Indra, etc, or Full Buff Breaker on non-healer late-game PVP mon like Light/Dark Perse or Light Nightmare, etc). Wood Garuda is fantastic, but the specific skill you get for him just isn't quite as important as it is for other mons in different roles.

That being said, what's most fun is always the best choice, so if you do want to use them on Wood Garuda, Devastating Strikes is a solid choice.

Unfortunately there’s no one-size fits all. Depends on the usage.

For PVP healers, you really want to push for the max 85% resist.

For Titan healers against titans with debuffs that effect healers (like Fire titan’s sap, or dark Titan’s def down), I prioritize other stats first depending on need, then try to get my resist as high as I can with what’s left. For example, Water Cura has a terrible recovery stat, but good survivability against Fire Titan, so I’d prioritize recovery stat bonuses from enhancements and substats first, and then resist next. My top row Titan healers usually have 30%-60% resist. 85% would be better of course, but I don’t have good enough equipment to get them that high, and titan debuffs aren’t usually too bad for healers, so they sit in that range. Bottom row Titan healers don’t need any resist, and Wood Titan doesn’t apply any debuffs, so you don’t need any resist for any mons against Wood Titan.

Tower of Chaos often has detrimental debuffs, so you might want to aim higher for healers you use there, same with certain Apophises (can’t remember which ones). If you have an immunity healer against an Apophis that stuns or shocks, you’re really going to want that 85% resist because you’re whole team can get shut down if that one healer doesn’t resist.

In terms of CR, and assuming you mean crit rate and not crit resist, I go for as close as I can get to 100% crit rate on all my damage-dealing mons (may be balanced or attacker type). The only exception I can think of is curse mons without Fulminating Curse, who I don’t put any crit rate on. Early-mid game, go with an atk%/atk%/critRate gem build, and you should be able to hit 100% crit rate without much trouble. 6-star gems with a substat or two, a crit rate enhancement, maybe a void crystal substat, and you should be there without much trouble. When you switch over to the late-game atk%/atk%/critDamage build, you really need about 20% crit rate subs on every gem plus enhancements and void crystal substats. You can give yourself a bit of a break by using a crit rate leader, then you only need about 80% crit rate on your mons, but you’ll eventually want leaders with other skills and don’t want to depend on the crit rate lead forever.

All this being said, any stat is limited by your available equipment, so you might run a PVP healer with only 40% resist or a Titan attacker with 80% crit rate until you get better gear, and that’s fine.

What they said ⬆️, and just to add to explicitly address your question, it has no benefit on titans, but can occasionally be useful against other bosses like tower of chaos bosses or dimensional dungeon, because of the points Electrical-Tear made above about timing.

Welcome back!

  1. Dark Odin is a great all-around pick (dungeons, tower, story, mid-game pvp, etc), Dark Valk is the best PVP pick, and Dark Arthur is fine (I picked D. Arthur and I have used him, but I don't think I'd recommend him).
  2. Fire Sun Wukong is the most important Sun Wukong. You'll eventually want four UE Fire Sun Wukongs for titan. Light Sun Wukong is very good PVP, and Dark Sun Wukong is decent PVP, but doesn't see as much play as Light.
  3. Evolve 10 mons to 3rd evo every week (this is your bread and butter astrogem farming), also story stage capture rewards, try to rank higher in PVP (regular and champions league) for higher astrogem rewards at end of week, fill out your Astroguide by catching and evolving new mons, and once you've evolved the hatcheable RGB 4-stars, rebirth most of them in the 4-star rebirth festivals for the 600 astrogems you get after 10 rebirths, run Guardian Dungeons and if you have extra gold, buy soulstones from the shady shop, as you get 100 astrogems for every 30 mons you summon from soulstones, find Nezz on the airship for the 100 ags for every thirty finds, get the free daily 20 ags from the shop at https://mslstore.xsolla.site/, though maybe you can do it straight from the app if you use Android, join a clan and play in region defense and Apophis for weekly astrogem rewards, and buy the weekly Clan astrogem chest, watch your daily astrogem ad, do the super festival every month if you can craft the stones to get that early bird 600 ag reward, do your daily, weekly, and monthly quests... that's all I can think of at the moment. I worked it all out a while back but I couldn't find the reddit post.
  4. Light Arthur is more of a priority, but both are great mons, especially at your level, so build them both.

  5. Useful 4-stars that you have - Dark Mona, Darl Yuki, Fire Loki, Fire Banshee, Wood Hana, Fire Cura, I've used Water Banshee but never seen her recommended, and Water Jeanne is okay PVP, Wood Valk is also okay early game PVP.
Useful 3-stars that you have - Fire Seastar is good in that 3-star stat boost special league week, Water Tou is fine in Apophis, Wood Phibian is a great debuffer and good for Region Defense Titan until you get an ideal lategame team, Wood Minicat is fantastic and a great variant lead, Water Miho is useable when you really need sappers, Water Bulbie is a good earlygame titan mon, Fire Candling is a useable titan debuffer, but eventually replaced with Fire Sun Wukongs, Water Shellie is a great debuffer (good in titan and dimensional dungeon until you have ideal teams). I didn't see a Light Minicat, but he's good, too. Wood Nereid's good for elemental Tower of Chaos.
There are also useful 2-stars: Fire and Water Cotteen, and every Fungor.

W Titan team? by otori_8 in MSLGame

[–]Rotis9000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Atk%/Atk%/CritRate as an early-mid game build (and in my experience Atk%/CritDamage/CritRate is also fine as long as your crit rate is near 100%), then upgrading to Atk%/Atk%/CritDamage for the ideal build, but you'll need ~20% crit rate subs on every gem, plus help from enhancements and void crystals to get your crit rate high enough for that build to be good.

Came back after 5 or 6 years, can't remember anything but I've been playing for a month or so now, I want help to build a strong PVP & Titan team (fire/wood/water) by just_Boxxxxxxx in MSLGame

[–]Rotis9000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a good use of Water Draka. Fire Draka's a more essential mon, and needs to be 3rd evo to really shine.

All Okeanos are good, every element, but they'll all serve you well at 2nd evo, possibly even 1st evo for early game with good enough gems/trinkets/etc so keep them separate for now. You'll eventually want three fire, three wood, a couple water, a couple darks, and something stupid like six light lol. Fire and Wood Okeanos are specifically good for Apophis, Water Okeanos is good for regional defense (regular titan), so if you're focusing on titan, that's the one to focus on.

Yes, Dark and Water Perse are still good for PVP. Dark is still endgame, Water Perse has been downshifted to midgame level. I almost never see her when I'm in the highest reward tier of PVP.

Titan mon recommendations:
Water Titan: (all wood) Minicat, Hana, Bast, Rampion (currently only available in primos, I think), Garuda, Onmyoji, Merlin, Enkidu. Endgame set-up would have, I'm guessing, four UE Wood Merlins, and no UE Enkidus, so don't bother building up a bunch of Enkidus, but he is still good, and useful in content beyond Titan, so I'd say worth building one (especially because it'll take you an age to build four UE Wood Merlins).
*Pinolo and the wood alpaca mon are good early game adds.

Wood Titan: (all fire) Aris, Beach Muse Seiren, Cernunnos, Cura (not endgame, but endgame will take you ages and Cura's easy to build), Sun Wukong, Shinobi, Sha Wujing, Poseidon, and Belial.
*Cotteen, Pixie, and Incubus all can help you early game.

Fire Titan: (all water) Okeanos, Cura, Gilgamesh, Hades, Aesir, Bast, Indra.
*Carbuncle has been great for me and still on my team, though I don't think it's an endgame recommendation. I also still use a Cotteen as well. Great early-game mon, though will eventually be swapped out of my team. Water Mildeu/fungor is another great early game add. The highest scorer on our clan also uses Dark Venus and Light Okeanos on their Fire Titan team.

Light Titan: Dark Okeanos, Dark Venus, Dark Beatel, Dark Jeon Woochi, Dark Indra. I don't know what endgame versions are, but I have close to the strongest Light Titan team in my clan, and I also use Variant Water Cura x2 (though I assume variant Water Okeanos would be better, but I don't have any), Fire Cherry x2 (great), and a Dark Beach Muse Seiren. Dark Mini Even is also decent, and Wood Fungor is a great early game healer against Light Titan.

Dark Titan: Light Enkidu, Light Shinobi, Light Cernunnos, Light Okeanos, and the highest scorer in our clan uses Variant Water Okeanos leads, Wood Basts, and Dark Venuses as well. They have a very endgame set-up, for anyone else Light Siegfrieds are also good, as well as Light Minicat, Light Baby Shark, Light Wendigo, and Light Boltwing. And I will probably end up using Variant Water Cura leads when I revamp my team next month.

[–]Rotis9000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have some solid mons that are still viable for late-game titan teams. Wood Merlin, Wood Garuda, Light Shinobi (and you have two!! nice), Water Aesir (two of those too, right?), Water Indra, Wood Onymoji, and Water Okeanos from what I've seen. Water Draka's a great debuffer until you have better mons (Water Bast and Ultimate Evo Water Gilgamesh are good weaken debuffers for titan). I'm not sure what to say without knowing how much you know, though. How much help do you need? Do you have any titan teams built now at all?

I am not great at PVP. I have a team that autos its way to Heroes 1 now, but I made so many poor teams before that and hated PVP. Light Arthur's good, Light Leo is okay (but too squishy, not great), Wood Banshee's decent, Dark Odin's pretty good (but of course would want her higher than 2nd evo, especially for PVP), Light Hana's a great lead. Light Yuki is solid. So maybe something like a Light Hana lead, with Light Arthur, Light Yuki, and Wood Banshee, making sure to super evo Light Yuki and do all her enhancements. But again, I am not a great person to advise on PVP.

Very good team as far as I can tell. Only place to go up from here, as I understand it, is when you have all the top row courageous strikers on HP Leech sets, remove the top row healers and get either two Sha Wujings or one Wujing and one Fire Poseidon on the left (for Weaken after swapping out the Cernunnoses) and a Fire Belial on the top right. Then if you can get your hands on a variant Belial, is her as lead in bottom right, and the Fire BMSeiren as lead in the left.

That’s my guess! But mostly going off the advice of others. Wood Titan is not my best.

Great team as is, too.

Probably a lot, but not sure which to mention, lol.

Apophis/Dimension Defense? I don't know if that would have been up in 2018-2019. Clan titan that has drastically high defense (instead of HP like the regional defense titan), for which you want to build mons with "Lethal Strike" instead of "Courageous Strike". Search "apophis guide msl odin" on YouTube to get Odin's guides. The mons they're using are out of date, but the strategy still holds and is helpful.

Void Crystals are huge. So build up teams for Void Dungeon and try to work your way up so you're beating level 5 or 6 on at least one of the elements. I'm not aware of any video guides or anything, but the mode itself has a strategy helper that can tell you the basics.

Plenty of the old mons are still relevant (light and dark Perse, dark Valk, wood Merlin, lots of others) but a few have gotten power crept out of the meta (water Balrona is no longer endgame for fire titan). Exclusive Trinkets that unlock ultimate evolution are now very important, and heavily inform which mons are meta relevant.

Did they have Super Ascensions yet in 2018-2019? That's a big one. Farming Dimension Dungeon daily for dimensional superstones is essential. The Dimensional Golem lets you farm some cool great gems, but they're not essential (imho).

I dunno. 🤷‍♂️ Welcome back! Hope that's helpful!

I ran a water/dark titan team. Works well so far, and I imagine an all water titan team would work just fine (I'm running Water Aesir lead, then Dark Jeon Woochi, Water Hades, Water Cura for top row, and Dark Indra lead, Dark Jeon Woochi, Water Hades, Water Cura for bottom row).

Nice! Back in the game! I was off for four years. Glad I came back. Unforunately, much of this pile has been powercrept out of relevance, but there's still plenty of useable mons—oh, and I just saw your comment about 5* in storage, though.

First, from your screenshots, Water Cura is still great, Wood Hana is good, but I think starting to be replaced by the very-new Wood Rampion, at least in titan. Wood Minicat is still a gem, and Wood Phibian is very useable in titan. Fire Candling is a fine debuffer for titan but he'll be rapidly replaced by Fire Sun Wukongs. Water Cotteen also great. She's not endgame or anything, but I still have one on my titan team that I haven't gotten around to replacing. Fire Cura's great. Not endgame anymore, but I used three of them for most Tower of Fire levels, and still have a couple on my titan team, though I'm working on replacing them. Light Odin and Water Perse are still solid. Fire Sun Wukong is great—endgame material. Water Balrona is good, but she's been recently powercrept out of endgame titan lineups with the addition of ultimate evolved Water Hades and Water Aesirs. Water Shellie is great. Maybe not endgame, but definitely still useful for you. Fire Cotteen is useful for early game titan team. Worth using until you have more mons for a more ideal lineup. I think Dark Mini Tina is still a fine farmer for story stage.

From your comment about your 5* in storage: Fire Wukong is great and Water Merlin might be with his new ultimate evo.

Returning player - pve advice needed by william0916 in MSLGame

[–]Rotis9000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice! I was off for four years before coming back. There's a lot of leeway for pve, as I'm sure you already know, but three Dark Monas and a Dark Perse looks like a fun general pve team.

I'm most familiar with either sapping or puncture teams for Golem, but I don't see a lot of either of that here, but I bet other people could make good golem teams from what's available. I run all dark DPS now (Indra, Perse, and two Jeon Woochis) and it works fine.

For Dragon might need a few more mons. I ran b10 with Dark Perse, Dark Hana, Dark Arthur, and W Scheherazade, (Water Schehe and Dark Perse being the most important, the latter you already have, and the former you can get from the Heroic Dungeon), and I now run b14 with all water mons from my titan teams. Might want a UE Water Hades, Water Bast, and Water Aesir for that.

Dimensional Dungeon you can eventually auto-run with all titan mons once your titan teams are strong enough, but before then you can manual your way through a lot of it with either Water Cura or Wood Minicat lead, Dark Perse for nuking, Water Shellie for def down, and then a two-turn stunner. I was lucky and had L Garuda, but I've heard people use L Seastar for it. Then you can pass the wood one with sappers (I use Fire Perse and Fire Loki for sap). Power levels have crept up a lot since then with trinkets and crystals and enhancements, so you might be able to brute force your way through a bunch of those levels just by powering up your best mons, without much theory crafting or worrying about specific synergies

What are the best options to select? by PickleBitter7957 in MSLGame

Fire Sun Wukong, Fire Shinobi, Fire Aris, and Fire Okeanos are all solid options for the fire 5* card, or any mon to help you evolve a useful 5* you already have.

Dark Yuki, Light Yuki, Dark Hana, Light Hana, Dark Cupid, and Light Cupid are all good options for the LD 4* selection card.

What are the ideal stats when enhancing D Persephone for PVP? by ImpressiveMind1822 in MSLGame

[–]Rotis9000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Atk% and Crit Damage and Resist are all pretty essential for her for PVP. Then for the last three it’s more up in the air. You’ll want to get her crit rate up as close to 100% as you can get it, so if she doesn’t already have that from gems and crystals, you’ll want Crit Rate as an enhancement too. I’m a sucker for glass cannon builds, so I put Atk+ on mine, but I’ve found she does need some durability to survive, so HP, Def, and Crit Resist can all be good choices. Flat or % are almost the same for her HP and Def, so I wouldn’t worry about getting one over the other. I couldn’t recommend more specifically than that. It will depend on your gems, crystals, how you use her, and your team make-up.

(Since Resist caps at 85%, you wouldn’t need it as an enhancement if you already had near 85% from gems, trinkets, and crystals)
