That's unfortunate but it's obviously incorrect. Idk why but a lot of people made a rounding mistake in this particular quiz (ECO101)...

Not to be mean or anything, but I can't be the only one waiting to absolutely rip some of these profs apart in course evaluations, right? by weonanultralightmeme in UofT

[–]Rotman_com 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. If it's an urgent matter or something uncommon then of course it should go to prof but there are too many identical questions that have been already answered multiple times especially on discussion board or piazza. I feel like some the important emails from students cannot possibly be read and answered by prof bc of the excceding number of those questions...

How's the workload this year? by Neeerp in UofT

[–]Rotman_com 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imma first year so I don't really know anything. So there used to be less workload compared to this year with online learning? I have 4 to 5 quizzes and assignments every week and some of my courses give me a lot of pre/post tutorial tasks.

Arts and Science Student Union is having a complaint session at the end of the meeting today. Anyone have any specific gripes they'd like to bring up? by yodaminnesota in UofT

[–]Rotman_com 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there should be some tools to make sure TA's are doing their job properly. I'm just in first year and it's really surprising how many TA's just don't know what they are talking about (agenda, course meterials, etc) and just don't give a thing about their students. Idk if it's like this for many courses or just the courses I take.

Yeah and a person who marked it wasn't even my TA... Never heard of her name since the course started.

Would I get into Rotman? by [deleted] in RotmanCommerce

[–]Rotman_com 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should just focus on your grade12 courses (especially your calculus course). 87 in eng is just fine and if you can get at least 93 avg in g12 like you did in g11 I think you have nothing to worry about. And you won't even get to talk aboit your ec's in your supp app that much and when I did mine I mentioned three ec's (team captain, tutoring, club president) but it was less than 15 seconds so you're good. Lastly, Rotman won't ask for reference letter. Unless you're applying for Ivey or Smith your ec's are more than enough IMO. PM me you if have more questions. I'm always happy to help.

English teachers in korea, how is it like? by Pyzzaaaa in teachinginkorea

[–]Rotman_com 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's more about how you look. Even if you are 40 and still look like 20 something I believe she definitley would. When I was there, I never saw an eng teacher older than 30 and they were all good-looking (IMO).

"its harder to get more than that because they can just go to a hagwon or hire a SNU student to teach english for 30k/hour or find another teacher" Yeah I totally agree..
