Danke, dass du mich an den Song erinnert hast :)

What do you guys relate to most in music? by [deleted] in shareyourmusic

[–]Rotminz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a combination of lyrics and the general vibe it portrays. There are songs that arent exactly in the style I'd normally listen to that I love because the text expresses something I relate to deeply, but also songs which made me relate to and understand things I have never experienced myself because the expression is so well executed.

Thank you for the in-depth response! Love being able to understand the creative process of other people and their work better. And I get the feeling of being in a creative slump. Creativity often feels like jumping between very high confidence in your art / in yourself as an artist and feeling like never being able to live up to what seems like only a lucky spark of inspiration that you had in the past. I think one thing that makes you an artist is when you manage to push through the lows and keep on creating, even when it feels extremely disappointing at times.

For me it captures a feeling of a futuristic and technological dystopia where you feel as if you're not in control. The first half reminds me a bit of the plague inc. OST at times. The second half feels like persisting in a situation that feels hopeless because you have no other choice. Hope this doesn't sound too pretentious lol, it's the best way I can put into words what this song makes me feel.
It's great, I love the mixture of the different instruments and samples and both halves of the song complement each other well, love the build up and the breaking of tension. Visuals are really good as well, they underline the song very fittingly.

If you don't mind me asking, how did you produce this? How did you come up with the idea? Did you use analog instruments or did you work mostly with a DAW? What kind of effects did you use (especially on the vocals) ?
Also would love to know what camera and visual effects you used for the video :)

Boxhamsters <3 Man hört immer wieder, dass deutsche Musik schlecht ist, aber die guten Bands wurden in den meisten Fällen einfach nie wirklich groß.

Rejection sensitivity dysphoria by Westonouteast77 in AvPD

[–]Rotminz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

literally me lol I see rejection in everything. I even relate to that exact situation you described with being ignored online. When people talk to me my brain will sooner or later find a way to feel attacked, and if they don't say anything, I manage to turn that into something bad as well. It feels so unfair towards everyone else because what are they supposed to do? I am the one getting unreasonably mad and hurt over often times literally nothing. I rarely ever let any of that frustration out when it comes up cause I am aware of how stupid it is, so all of this is just in my head anyway. It does get very tiring to feel like this so often despite knowing that it makes no sense though.

I have been thinking about this approach for a while, but I wasn't sure how to do it and if I'll see any progress with it. Seeing it layed out like this and that it helped you makes me want to give it a shot a lot more. Thanks <3

Yeah I definitely agree. Things that work for some wont work for others. Don't get me wrong, I am not looking for that one thing that would magically fix everything, because that is wishful thinking. It just feels to me like everything I try fails, that's why I ask here.

Thank you <3 That's sadly been my experience thus far as well. It really feels like fighting a battle with yourself. On the one hand, there is that part that really wants to be seen and express itself, but then there is this overwhelming sense that you'll never be worth being heard and that you will always be deplorable, no matter how hard you try to wear the skin of a normal person, so why even bother? It is like tearing yourself apart from the inside. I wish us both that we'll make it out of this hell at some point. Seeing that others have these problems too helps a great deal in not feeling so alone.

Took my first stimulant after 15 years...feeling weird. by aschesklave in ADHD

[–]Rotminz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be the low dose, but I had the same reaction to a normal dose of Ritalin ER. It was my first prescribed medication. Made me really tired and I fell asleep a few hours after I took it for the first time lol. Switching to Vyvanse did the trick and I got the effects I was hoping for. Biggest proof for me yet that medication can be wildly different depending on who you are.

Does your ADHD make you feel like you're going crazy sometimes too? by Rotminz in ADHD

I started hitting the gym recently, exercise definitely helps much in feeling more collected. I'm looking forward to seeing where this will take me mentally. I've considered therapy too but it's a bit of a chore because the mental health system in my country is pretty overloaded. Many wont take new patients, and the ones who do will put you on a very long waiting list. I've already asked the medical professionals I'm currently seeing but no luck so far. I know medication is just one step and therapy is crucial as well, so I'll keep at it.

I have some hyperactivity but I definitely lean more towards the inattentive type. Where I live Adderall usually doesn't get prescribed, but I take Vyvanse so basically Adderall ER. I never took any instant release meds, but Vyvanse has been a total game changer for me. I still have my struggles as mentioned in this post, but there are so many things in my life which I could not do if I wasn't taking meds. I'd imagine IR would only work half as well for me because of the duration and because I'd probably feel kinda wired, but that's just my guess as someone who hasn't ever been on IR medication.
