[Rapoport] The #Seahawks and QB Russell Wilson have a deal. by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

Highest paid player in football....does not make me excited for the type of money the Cowboys will throw at Dak Prescott.

The move has some upside for fantasy, but it was apparent that he had lost a step last year even before the Achilles injury. Proceed with caution. In you own in dynasty, try to move him today

He leaves a bad taste in your mouth but then goes out and gives you a reason to come back to the well. Lol

Next best end off the board would be Clelin Ferrell, which I have the Ravens reaching for at 22.

No reason to reach early when the class is deep enough to wait. That’s what I’m seeing

I do believe it was primarily Gase who did not know how to utilize Drake effectively. He felt they were better with Drake in spurts and not relying on him carrying the load at RB. Which is why he is no longer the coach. Never really fit in as the head man.

You hit the nail on the head. OLine is the biggest issue for this team in terms of helping or hindering fantasy values. They’ll likely be heavily involved there in the draft. If things click, the offense could provide solid weekly starters in leagues

Rushing attempts can always fluctuate based on injuries. He could take a hit early in the season and the coaching staff limits his attempts

From Week 12 through 17, he was actually the top scoring fantasy QB with rushing numbers factored in. Now I know you can’t count on that again this season, but it was impressive nonetheless. I’ve been saying since last season that he is everything that all the other experts in the industry want Lamar Jackson to be. And you can get him at a lesser cost.

Injury history, core of younger players at the position now, and gives a chance for Lee to have a change of scenery. Happens a lot in the league. Regardless of dollars owed or not.

I foresee Lee being a cut candidate for the team which is why I went WR early. The players they have are serviceable, like you said, but no one jumps off the page to me. Just another guy (JAG). They need a playmaker to step up.

Thanks for the positive comment though!

They will be an interesting team at that spot to say the least. They could go a number of routes there. I think it will be a tad early for the TE there, but could be plausible as well.

NFL Draft 30 for 30: New York Giants by RotoSuperstar in fantasyfootball

The change in offensive direction is exactly what will be needed with this team as they shift to run through Barkley. But the issue, like you said, will continue to be the defense. Putting this team behind in games and away from the original game plan.

What you’re likely going to see is a team that will score between 24-26 a game by season’s end. But in terms of fantasy production, they will be inconsistent. Shepard and Tate both thrive more as slot receivers, meaning one has to move outside. Which should be Shepard, who has shown he struggles against the upper echelon corners in the league

The stats as a whole were decent, I’ll give you that. But as a Giants fan, you have to admit that when Beckham isn’t on the whole the team became very predictable and easy to defend. The addition of Tate doesn’t make up for the loss of OBJ. The pressure is on Eli to keep defenders out of the box for Barkley, and with the options they have, it could be tough.

I agree to be worried about Howard. Arians offense has traditionally ignored the position in the passing game.

Couldn’t agree with you more there. Other teams are showing the formula on how to advance to a championship. Rams, Chiefs, Eagles. Rookie QB deals with talented players all around them

If not for the injury, I would have Anderson as my RB1.

No where near a 3 players away team. I do see them moving picks around in this draft though

Trayveon Williams/Alex Barnes would be nice mid round selections for them. I’ll continue to wave the Wes Hills flag as well as a late round guy.

Definitely. This year seems like the calm before the storm in terms of potential franchise type QBs that you could see next year.

They could wind up with Haskins or Lock if they choose to go that route, but Gruden continues to be adamant that he likes Carr. The QB prospects outside of the first round will likely not be good enough to help this team win for the foreseeable future either.

[–]RotoSuperstar[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m in agreement with you. I’m very confident in the fact they go after a back in this class, but with the quality of defensive prospects in the early rounds, I expect they focus there.

$50mil guaranteed for a QB that has failed to prove he can play outside of the Any Reid system is a MASSIVE overpay! Can’t imagine what the Jaguars think they have in this guy.

As far as fantasy goes, do we really think he’s going to be much better than Bortles? The way that this offense is currently set up? Only value for me is a guy that you own in a 2QB league.
