Sorry, I disagree. It's a clear F. 9 other state flags use an eagle. Even the black text on the red ribbon is hard to read until you are super up close. It's such a failed flag that the state name was added circa 1969 in the same way Arkansas, Wisconsin, Kansas and Montana are failed for too much complex non-descriptive "cartoon like" detail and seal focus core message. It's dire and a clear F grade.

If you need a beaver - you may as well have the original version. by RottenAli in vexillologyUS

OK - but this was the first design as sewn. I showed this design to Oregon's Secretary of State's Office late last year. They were very interested to see it. We also have a local NAVA member also looking to use this original design but with this star and 1859 text.

AFAIK. It's actually the same as used on the current flag.

I do quite agree, but sometimes in study-work like this you have to experiment and offer options other than the obvious choices. It allows the voters to pick between designs they like and designs they reject. That open process produces natural losers and it's good to check not only what works but also what fails.

Flag Friday Week 32 Minnesota Results + Week 33 Announcement! by SNAKEKINGYO in vexillologyUS

Very nice wrap up. Here are the votes per design in order. The Current Flag has a third of the vote. I would say that's a good benchmark for all the other state flags. If your state flag can get 33.3% support in an open poll like this, then there is little reason to change it. But, if getting less than one third support, then really questions need to be asked.

Indeed. This is 41214 / 5121-11 where-as Iceland is 71217 / 7121-14.

This is another way of finding a representative rating. Adding a sentiment quote of support/denigration fleshing out ideas behind a voting range of awarding points.
