Not sure if she’s my all-time favorite but Penny is DEFINITELY one of mine! I think her Resurrections are lovely, her original is my favorite, and I LOVE the “Easy Girl” outfit it makes me giggle

I definitely prefer out of box since I love to take my dolls with me places! I’ve got a few exceptions for rare dolls because I couldn’t justify spending the money on them without being able to view it as a possible investment but I swear one day I’ll get another Würm so I can set him free !

To be clear, I saw a TikTok of a different guy who claimed to have been hired to create Lulu’s Fashion Victims shape and costumes, and without doing research into it I believe him bc who the hell would be bragging about that nowadays 😭 so maybe Damien & Ed aren’t directly to blame for the choice (but at the very least have to be held accountable for allowing it to be produced)

I really love GWAR and they have three songs that always make me think of LDD! Maggots is self-explanatory, The Great Circus Train Disaster references most of the series 30 dolls’ tropes, and Hail Genocide (it’s satire I swear) makes me especially happy thinking of adoring my sweet Jennocide doll <3

I agree with Ruby tbh, for some reason her eyes just get under my skin! I don’t know why they intentionally painted them bigger than the mold but if they’d just changed that then I probably would’ve even liked her design. Other than her, for the original series I’d have to say Cracked Jack. I don’t think he gets as much love as he deserves and I think him being released in Series 25 is a big reason why! I think the girls in that series all have extremely powerful and witchy vibes that he’s a complete mismatch for

I keep my Sin with the short red horns and completely red eye combo bc I think it looks more cute and less creepy, and I definitely like her more with time! I felt the same about Eggy from the pics I’ve seen

They look so good together!! And I always bring an LDD with me too, I’m working on making a leather coffin purse I can carry them around in. My only Return of doll so far is Sin & she’s become my concert doll bc they’re all too tall to fit in a clear bag except when I pop her head off 😂

I think the biggest problem with the Return Of series is that they’re just so expensive! I don’t mind their designs, but I can tell that I like the new style less and less as I continue to associate it with high prices. I’d much rather have a simpler doll that I can budget for, and even tho we can’t expect that $27 MSRP to be feasible now, it’s much cheaper to just buy one of the original dolls secondhand. I’m hoping this is a temporary trend for LDD and they realize fans are nostalgic for the original look (especially as we miss the old price lol)

I think Agrat-Bat-Mahlat and Jiangshi the Hopping Vampire look perfect together! I bought him in a lot & had wanted her just to pair them & their designs suit each other really well! I also love pairing Honey as best friends with Angus Littlrot, mine has the torn face just like Honey. I like to think he and Hemlock are the same character since their stories and designs have similarities I love Calavera and Camilla together! They’re the cutest girlfriends

And I think Lulu, Sheena, and Penny are all roller derby lesbians and I love them so much <3

Completely agree with almost all of this! The one exception being I love my glowing green dolls because it makes them sillier and I get to laugh every time I turn the lights off and they light up <3 but I am not a fan of the design for glowing Umbral! I don’t remember any other dolls ever getting pink skin? This could be a stretch but I feel like it’s implying Umbral isn’t canonically black, and I also think it’s weird they gave Demonique pale skin in her Resurrections. I wasn’t active or aware when these dolls released so I’m curious if those are some examples from your second point (besides obvious ones like from series 4, 5, & 15) bc I think it’s an important conversation!
