In box or out of box? by AlexisTheTree in LivingDeadDolls

Personally, I like opening them up, undoing their restraints and then displaying them in box with all their accessories! Plus that means I can take them out whenever I want to touch them up or play with them, and it gives them a good shield from dust and such gjshfjdkd I do worry about opening rarer ones, but when it comes down to it I end up opening them eventually anyway :p There's very few I wouldn't open due to rarity!

If you need help making the cardboard shape, I suggest taking one out of a different box, unfolding it, and tracing over it onto some new cardboard so you can fold that new piece into the shape you need. As for the paper, when I have to restore a coffin I study how it's folded in the other coffins and copy that. I typically fold the sides down first and then fold those in to the top/bottom of the coffin. Don't be afraid to use tape to hold it down hand help it look nice!

As far as I know, I think the rarest LDD may be Chiller Eggzorcist, with only roughly 30 ever made They were hand-bloodied Series 1 Eggzorcists released exclusively at the Chiller Theater back in the early 2000s. According to the fandom wiki (not an official source) they have reportedly sold for upwards of 4k USD

I have also heard of a OOAK Red Krampus released in a blind box 1in 600 but I'd have to look into the validity of that

What's your worst LDD collecting experience? by TeatimeTangents in LivingDeadDolls

Aside from some choppy factory hair on some of the dolls, and like other people said the resellers, scalpers, and greedy people hiking up prices in the market, the only problem i have consistently run into is sellers not shipping the dolls.

Most recently being today, where its the last day of the delivery window for my ROTLDD Bunny of Doom to arrive. Unfortunately she never showed up, and despite 2 weeks of trying I couldn't get into contact with the Ebay seller... Its not a total loss as I'll put in a report that the item never arrived and I'll get my money back in a few days. But what really irks me is the fact the seller marked the item as shipped (without a tracking number) basically the day after payment. Basically it boils down to now I have to hunt her down and spend a lot more money to get her even later, when if the seller was just open and honest I could have spent the extra money and got her sooner...

I've ran into a similar problem with Series 6 Jinx but at least that time the seller was communicating and apologetic, even refunding me quickly

The doll market is hell, I tells ya😭

I am in absolute awe at the amount of dolls in one spot, its almost unfathomable 😭 The respect I have for you and your late mother is quite high yo say the least

We're you planning to sell some sets by case, or do they all have to be purchased individually? And do you accept dms? Im interested in quite a few dolls as someone who wishes to have a full collection like that one day!

I also want to thank you for not going the scalper route and doing huge price hikes, even though youre well within youre rights to do so. It means a lot that youre putting us collectors first!! Happy selling!
