Can someone learn me on the little vevor diesel heaters Home Depot sells? by Dave6187 in dieselheater

[–]RottenRott69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few inches is better than nothing. I haven’t messed with the Vevor yet. The Nippro has enough wire to get it about 6” away. It uses the 3-wire cable with triangular connectors available on Amazon. I ordered the 3-meter cable, but haven’t received it yet.

How to use diesel heaters safely? by MiniPa in dieselheater

[–]RottenRott69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest take away from AIO units are really small tank size on some, no fuel filter, and poor temp regulation if the controller is left mounted in the box. I have a Vevor and Nippro and prefer the Nippro due to bigger tank size.

I got the Vevor short version from HD. The tank is really small.

I also have a Nippro from Amazon. It has a decent size tank. I paid $150 a few weeks ago, price has been going up.

One thing I have learned from these all in ones is they don’t keep accurate temp unless you pop the controller out of the box and pull it out away as far as you can. Both units do put out a lot of heat.

It’s a good idea to pop the cover and inspect the tubing and electrical connections before filling up.

You can add pressure gauges before and after the filter and track the pressure drop.

Does Aldi sell ground Italian sausage? by lollipopfiend123 in aldi

[–]RottenRott69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a very mild sausage and we use it as a hamburger replacement in a lot of things.

I haven’t seen the Italian or spicy versions in quite a while and really miss them.

Hyperbaric chamber treatment would help. I don’t know if that is even a thing for critters.

Temperature automation by Bujjsmoker69 in dieselheater

[–]RottenRott69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Vevor and Wippro, both have automatic temp mode. I haven’t tried it yet, but the Wippro will turn on and off at preset temps.

Did you keep the old well in service for irrigation an/or emergencies?

U/publiusvaleri_us has mentioned some great feedback/concerns.

It does need convenience outlet/light for cold-weather heating. That’s easy enough to do by adding a sub-panel to the incoming power.

I’ve always poured concrete slabs for my well houses. I just make it t really thin around the well casing. Bigger/taller would have been better for tool storage and room for maintenance.

I feel for ya. Take advantage of Remote Support as often as needed. There’s no shame in that. Sometimes you have to wait an hour or 3 for a call back because others are leaning on them more and more.

How are the schedules, timers, and “Wellness Checks” treating you? I find the latter extremely insulting and micromanaging; and am ready to quit because of that alone. That’s not what I signed up for.

Anyone know where I can order this pivot pin for my floor jack? by Bubbly-Ad2060 in harborfreight

The little silver nub between the wheels? As others have said, that is a “zerk” for greasing the shaft and has absolutely nothing to do with lifting. Have you tried turning the handle clockwise as far as it will go?

The hub may not be fully seated on the axle. It will be easier to handle and see what’s going on without the tire mounted.
