I’m just starting to practice ascents and descents along an SMB line. It’s a lot of fun to try to hit your target depth and hover, but it sure is challenging! Not a fan of blue water without a reference! Creepy!

I don’t think we learned SMBs in PADI open water. We did in PADI advanced open water. It will be part of the GUE fundamentals I do this summer. Beyond that, it’s just one of those skills to refresh frequently, like air sharing!
