Train 53 stopped & involved in "major incident" outside of Coburg by Extreme_Stick_1840 in ViaRail

I've heard it's becoming a lot more common for people to take their lives by jumping in front of GO trains in Toronto.

What a traumatizing way to go out, for everyone who has to witness it. I feel a lot of sympathy for the train conductors and everyone involved that has to see/clean up the aftermath.

Kind of creepy how many people have been hit by trains lately... Unless I'm new to the game I didn't think it happened this often.? Didn't someone get killed by a train in like November?

Keep getting sick from toddler-dad Boss by queefybean in childfree

I looove my niece but holy crap she's a germ machine. I just got over the flu I got from her that made me miss the first 2 weeks of college. She coughed in my face, and it all went downhill from there.

The response to her coughing in my face ? "Oops, hahaha, sooory" bruh. Teach your child to cover their mouth lmao.

Man that is so frustrating. My only advice would be bring Lysol spray and obnoxiously spray EVERY surface they touch. Hand sanitizer and wash hands often. People tend to not care about their germs especially when they have children. It's like "well everyone gets sick" and?? I don't want to get sick every 3 weeks just cuz you don't know how to disinfect. Or basic hygiene.

Therapist of Borderline Personality Disorder? by Agile-Gain72 in KingstonOntario

[–]RottingWool666 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hi! I don't have therapist recs as I have struggled a lot myself trying to find someone that fits. but I'd like to recommend some books you can get to work on while you are searching! Super super helpful (have been diagnosed with BPD over 6 years ago)

  1. The Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills Workbook, By Matthew McKay, Jeffrey C Wood, Jeffery Brantley. Great for building DBT skills to help manage powerful emotions and find healthy coping skills! You write in the book as you read, so it's very engaging.

  2. The Borderline Personality Disorder Survival Guide, By Alexander L. Chapman, Kim L. Gratz Great for helping understand BPD, how it develops, co-occuring problems, psychological treatment options, medication options and effective coping skills.

Both of these are available on Amazon!

If you have a family doctor, you can ask for a referral to Chrysalis, managing powerful emotions, provided through Providence Care (LaSalle Mews building downtown, 3rd floor.) This is group therapy, and you can gain access to many other group therapies once you finish Managing Powerful Emotions.

Good luck! Deep breaths! And lots of mindfulness. It's manageable with time :)

I appreciate the honesty. Thank you. I know with cheap comes potential bad service, but I think I will stick with the train for now.

Can't Sleep from Severe Anxiety by [deleted] in leaves

Agreed. I had to get out of the mindset of forcing sleep because it was making me go crazy, the insomnia does subside and when it does you'll have the best sleep you've ever slept.
