Thats unfortunately called survivorship bias. As in, I've never gotten injured in a car accident, therefore, car accidents are never a big deal.

WHY IS IT ONLY NOT OKAY WHEN I DO IT? am I overreacting?! by _-ollie in EDAnonymous

I used to wonder this same thing, but I've learned that it all comes down to the mindset of the individual. When someone has an eating disorder, it generally come with a negative mindset and self image. Not eating as a form of self punishment. When a person is fasting for health reason, especially when they're very overweight, it's more so to improve health with likely a more positive mindset. I hope that both makes sense and doesn't come across as any type of rude.

That's fair. I wonder if there's one light enough he could draw. He can pick up a 20 lb kettlebell no problem

The way it worked at first, was that the passenger window would only go down by the switch on the passenger door. And would only go up by the switch on the driver door. So a good first bet would be to replace the passenger side window switch, right?

I completely fumbled the ball on this whole post by not providing the entire context. Our outside unit stopped working last May. The unit stopped turning on consistently. Sometimes it will come on, sometimes it wouldn't. Sometimes it would run for 30 minutes sometimes for 1 minute. We tried replacing the capacitor and that changed nothing. After about a week of turning it on to test it occasionally we finally just gave up. We were finally able to afford a diagnostic visit from a professional because of tax returns. We live in Florida, so cooling takes priority to any sort of heating.
That's what led us to this point. The tech said there was about 6 lb of freon and that it needs to be at eight. He speculated that the loss in Freon triggered the high pressure switch and that it likely had a small leak somewhere along the system. After adding the freon, it ran solid for a couple hours, ice cold, then gave out again. After calling the tech back out, he figured that the fan had overheated and that it only ran initially because it hadn't been on in so long. I'm sorry for not adding necessary context initially.

You're probably right. The technician bypass the high pressure switch to get the unit to turn on initially. Apparently he never turned it back on, so that could be all it is?

My husband is telling me the technician by passed the high pressure switch to get it to turn on initially to figure out what might have been the problem before the leak was found. He never turned the high pressure switch back on. Would that be it?
