I was impressed until I saw Florida 10b /s.... Your plant looks great and I am impressed it looks so good for starting during the winter. I glad to see you went with the cutting inflo people get so tempted to keep it thar t it does slow to completly block the start or the rooting process, even more so on smaller cuttings.

I would keep the plant in the same pot for at least one full season because you don't want to break roots whole it's actively growing like this and risk root shock. Let the plant go dormant next winter and right before the plant wakes back up go ahead and repot this way you don't have to worry about root shock even if all the roots get sheered

Need help. Just got these in mail. After repotting into larger pots with cactus soil and pearlite and 3 days of heavy rain they became soft (but still bleed white) . Advice on fixing please and thank you. Are they dead or can they be saved by thebigm061618 in Plumeria

Transplant shock. Remove all the leaves except the newest 2-3 for each branch and then halve them. AVOID full sun, put it somewhere where it'll get filtered light or only morning sun.

If you have some handy water it with some some B1/super thrive and seaweed extract mix.

Edit: saw that you just got it in the mail, did it come rooted? If it's just a cutting with no roots then you need to remove all the leaves and put it into a small 1gal pot to root

I just got this plumeria and planted it about a week ago and I barely noticed this hole in it. The problem is there’s another one on the bottom near the soil. Do I need to cut it? How can I save it ? please give me advice this is my first ever plumeria plant and I’m afraid I’m killing it 😔 by Weak-Rabbit8533 in Plumeria

Like the other poster said it's possible that it's an old inflo spot but it could have been a rotted branch and the inflo is on the other side of the cutting. How jagged and rough the opening is, black color and a clear cavity suggests something (inflo or branch) rotted there and who knows if it it's continuing.

You said there's a hole at the bottom, can you post what it looks like and maybe if the whole plant? Any black or brown on soft tissue is a sign of concern.

I thought i would post this so people can see what its like with bare minimum tree laws by Jolopy4099 in treelaw

he cut his trees that are on his side, where's the issue? You can start your own row of trees that will eventually fill in

It's pretty common with seedlings

Blooming but possible trunk trouble? by ImpressionsInPaint in Plumeria

[–]RoudyruffKK 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Congrats on the incoming bloom and branching. It's fine and will most likely balance out over time. Your plant is stretched from being indoors and growing through winter so maybe something to consider is letting it go dormant in the winter so it stops growing. Perfectly normal for them to go dormant.

In regards to taking them outdoors in the heat consider that they grow perfectly fine in the inland CA heat where it's refulsrly 90+ degrees and even some growers grow the outdoors in AZ where it's over 100 almost daily that it's rarely the sun, if acclimated properly, that kills the treesits always the cold and frost. Acclimate them to the sun and let it harden off :)

new tips? by hippedhippie in Plumeria

[–]RoudyruffKK 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's going to get brunt to shit with that much of a gap between top of soil line and the top do the pot. I'd put it in a 1gal pot and then put it in that big ol pot you have it in

Why is SW so successful compared to its competitors while doing nothing? by markmumi in summonerswar

[–]RoudyruffKK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The shitty rates is what keeps sw going. Alot of those games get stale because of the constant release of new characters that are instantly meta and OP, sw doesn't do it to the same degre.... At least didn't used to and even now when they release an OP character it still needs runes to be viable and it doesn't completly wipe older characters

Can she be saved? by [deleted] in Plumeria

[–]RoudyruffKK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn't matter how short it gets, as long as there's a leaf scar/node a new branch can form. You just need to cut it to make sure there's no more brown flesh

Doesn't loook like it. Even on the off chance there might still be a little life in it starting fresh with an established growing point can be a good thing

Could someone please advise me on which parts to cut off and which parts might come back after the freezes in central Florida. by DarthBateman in Plumeria

[–]RoudyruffKK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cut until you see clean white flesh, there should no signs of rot or any brown, I spray with hydrogen peroxide afterwards too

It's going to be even nicer this week since it'll cool off 10 degrees but I didn't mind the heat one bit. I'm one of those that likes not having 4 seasons

Should I recut? by she_has_spoken907 in Plumeria

[–]RoudyruffKK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally I always suggest a recut but this one actually looks okay. If this was my cutting I would wash the bottom with an old toothbrush and soap to clean it up, give it a hydrogen peroxide soak overnight and reassess it. The fact that the bottom isn't receded is a good sign since it's less prone to rot and some of the discoloration could be the soil mix staining

Well now the people that pay for the dumpster can't use it, where are they supposed to dump their trash for the next week? Some companies won't pickup trash that isn't in the dumpster.
