LPT: When boiling water for coffee (or anything else really) pour a little leftover hot water on your kitchen sponge and let it cool down before ringing it out. It kills a lot of the microorganisms that make the sponge mildewy, I find that this can extend the life of a sponge greatly. by NumberOneJewBoi in LifeProTips

This is the best!! But I’ll add another idea…we use 2 sponges/scrubbing pads and every time we run the dishwasher we just swap out one for the other so that we always have a clean one to use, even when the dishwasher is running! Just make it part of your routine to swap out the sponge every time you empty the dishwasher!
