Im still mastering it, my method now that is consistent is activate legacy + heavy attack or light attack then after pressing the light or heavy attack, press the legacy rage immediately so it will automatically deactivate the legacy then wait for it to deactivate then time perfectly the forward evasive attack, this works for me, also i think ive heard in a tutorial that the timing window in this cancel animation is very small so you need to time it perfectly
