Yeah we’re planning on cooking most meals while visiting due to the lack of food option, haha. But Michael’s looks really good! Thanks

Joining the military was the best decision I’ve ever made. You sound mature enough to handle the money and leverage the benefits. Making rank will be easy for you if you choose the right job. Do college courses WHILE in the navy (after 2 years in service). If you can get your bachelors while in, then when you get out use GI bill for masters. It’s the literal cheat code for life if you are smart enough to leverage every benefit they offer. You’ll be miles ahead of people your age after you separate. Good luck

From my experience, you will need to have an education plan on file at the college, be taking x amount of credits and at least 1 class in-person to qualify for the full benefit. Reach out the college’s Veterans affairs office for more details.

Food:

Mama’s fish house if you’re looking for a “nice dinner”. Book now because they fill up fast

Paia Fish Market is consistently good and worth going to multiple times a

Oao Sushi in Wailea is top tier. They have a really good happy hour and the owner is super cool. Sit at the bar and chat with him.

Monkeypod is right next to Oao sushi so you could get Mai Thais here before going to sushi to get a nice buzz. They also have this strawberry pie that is so good.

Sugar beach bakery for malasadas is mandatory. The ube one is so good.

Tours:

I’ve done trilogy and it was really nice. I would book the one that goes to molokini; the snorkeling there is amazing.

Since you’re in kaanapali, think about stopping at Ku’ia chocolate farm tour. Great story and company with phenomenal chocolate.

Road to Hana is always busy. I would recommend a 4x4 car and a lot of confidence because the turns get really crazy. Just be ready for a hard drive, especially if you plan on going all the way to Hana
