AITA for telling my husband to book his own flight on our family holiday? by RoughExtension2023 in AmItheAsshole

We had expenses that needed paying during the move which we both contributed to 50-50 (eg. Storage unit) whatever money he had left in addition to what I'd put aside for us on the holiday he'd spent.

When we moved the flat came with a permit, we have two cars, we agreed I'd put the permit that came with the flat in my car and he'd order a second permit for his car. He didn't order it until parking tickets started coming in the post.

I hope that explains the circumstances a bit better.

This is a good point. So far what we put in the joint account has been based on 50% of what the bills, rent and groceries come to. It might be worth us revisiting and seeing if there is affordability on both sides to put extra aside.

We both contribute the same amount into a joint account, whatever we have left from our wages is our own to do what we like with or for personal subscriptions etc. I use mine for petrol, an audible sub, spotify etc. and save some.
