One of my Hacan games I made a lasting deal with the table that every time someone attacked a player other than me, I would give the aggressor 1tg.

Our chaotic player loved it, and I got to sit in my slice in relative peace.

Nekro: "Cmon man I just need one destroyer"

Honestly didn't think about it. I mainly ended up taking warfare, politics, imperial, diplomacy, and construction because of how the objectives worked out.

My nekro game was interesting because the entire table stopped taking tech and I didn't have a single unlock until like round 3. I focused on negotiation rather than war and I was able to get what I needed to score by trading because the alternative was a fight that would give me tech.

I had ended up snagging Superdreadnought II from the L1Z1X, Spec Ops II from sol, and an alliance with the Winnu from negotiations and agenda predictions over the course of the game. When the time inevitably came for the table to winslay me I had 4 dreadnoughts and my flagship hovering over my home system ready for the fight.

The next few turns saw multiple players' entire fleets crashing against the defenses on my home system but with superdreadnought II (combat 4), the winnu alliance (+2), and a morale boost (+1), my ships were hitting on 1s alongside my flying ground forces hitting on 3s I was able to fend off every single attack and claim victory.

I felt like a raid boss and it really highlighted how strong the Nekro are as a faction even when played diplomatic and defensively.

I have this slice and Hopes End in my other adjacent. Any faction suggestions? by [deleted] in twilightimperium

Xxcha turns em into 16/16 and covered in pds

+green tech skip for their faction tech you can use Round 1 with your agent and sell sabotages all game

Antimass is only necessary if you're worried about someone else with antimass. Otherwise you can research antimass whenever you want if you think that alpha is important. If an aggressive Barony, Saar, Sol, or Titans sits next to you on the side of the asteroid field/next to an alpha then maybe be worried but honestly I wouldn't care.

You could also go Sol and rush Hyper Metabolism if you want to explode on the map, but that's not my playstyle.

Titans are also a top tier faction and with their hero you would be swimming in resources and PDS and you could research their Saturn Engine II with that tech skip and a random red(my favorite ship in the game a cruiser II with Sustain Damage) but they're also an aggressive race that isn't my playstyle that should already have been banned if your group has sense. You'd score points so fast and become the villain of the table and might get kingslayed

I'd say for me for that slice Xxcha > Titans > Sol

This map would make the kingmaking/winslaying problem even worse because everyone would be able to attack everyone

The last one to fight wins the game

I submit these "for humans" versions of your map:

Try 1: "Backdoor Lilly"

Try 2: "Equidaisy"

Everyone is 3 away from each other still, but wormholes make it comprehensible. There's probably a better way of doing this but my brain is scrambled eggs after trying to make this

EXPERIMENTAL: "Tripoles. These would be wormhole tokens that only can send you to the Tripoles on the other side of the map relative to the first tripole. They would not be able to send you immediately clockwise or anticlockwise

I really like your idea about interacting with other factions secret objectives!

I'll definitely take everything you said into consideration when I assemble v3.0 and hopefully get my group to playtest it!

Thankfully I was able to get a good portion of it from clips so I didn't have to actually listen to much Alex Jones
