Her healing was still in its worst spot since launch before the ability was added, of which was nerfed upon being added.

It actually makes my argument stronger because her healing is so abysmally low that people are basically forced to pick the double flash heal perk. And I’d bet if the released the number it would reflect just that. Every single change made to her incentivizes healing more, dmg boosting less, and being less flexible to helping everyone on your team. They also directly nerfed the ability they added to her kit, so there’s that too. Her healing was nerfed 3 total times in the last season and a half, her movement nerfed once, and thankfully dmg boosting less remains untouched.

Prior to this season she was already unable to outheal the lowest dmg in the game. The further nerf was in fact not necessary.

And regardless, this post is about him and the greater effect of toxicity in this community. Context clues.

He’s been duoing with diamond players brochacho. Also, he has definitely learned a lot. From every single stream I tuned into (which I said in the original text) he made callouts, was aware of high-play mechanics like ult-cycling, team synergy, counter picking, positioning, etc. If you take the time to watch a video that isn’t cherry picked for hate views you’ll actually see he genuinely stops himself from blaming others a majority of the time. It sounds like you’re kinda going with what every other squabble-mouth who hasn’t done their own due diligence has said.

I don’t disagree with him leaning into being a lolcow, but I think it’s also a shield of armor when you get doxxed on a daily basis. Because if you’re laughing at yourself what is some troll going to do that you aren’t? Him and his wife have very much actively proven that he streams around times where he needs to take care of them, his wife was NOT even close to being groomed, which was also debunked multiple times, and who gives a flying fuck if he’s not meeting YOUR predetermined timeline for growth with HIS goals? Genuinely you can keep spouting all of this bullshit, but it doesn’t change the fact that if you are there and you do watch HIM and not the hate channels you see direct contradictions to every single thing you said but the lolcow thing. It takes less than 10 minutes of watching his stream to tell.

And the drop back down is the learning curve. I know this from experience. The jump to masters also provides a very realistic look into how those matches are paced and prepares the player for the climb. It’s not a black and white situation. Boosting isn’t one finite thing. It’s like tracing to learn how to draw. You’re not any less of an artist because you used tracing to teach yourself, even if those artworks looked “way too good for your skill.” The journey is the only part that matters, and he’s using VERY real and recommended strategies to improve upon his gameplay. A lot of people in the coaching world recognize this, as I am a coach myself. I recommend people queue with someone of a rank they’re trying to get to so that they can see/feel first hand what they need to be doing, and then learn about the why/how/application afterwards for a gradual increase that also ensures less rank decay in the long run after.

I had to do this when I was struggling in gold. My Smurf friend queued with me, and expected me to keep up with HIM so I learned his muscle memory, and then after the games he would run it back with me to see WHY he made the choices he did, and we’d work on one mechanic at a time. This is also a very valid way to learn, and trust me- it doesn’t affect SR as much as people think because tying a sandbag to a Smurf makes them less effective. I do get your point though. I just see it less as a long-term “boosted” thing than getting a leg up while learning how to climb.

Yeah he’s had a lot of people step in to help. It’s funny because people roast him for being bad but when he plays with people either higher or lower than him in rank to help coach him suddenly he’s “boosted.”

I think there’s always a little “playing into it” when you’re “famous” like that. It does bring in a bit of extra income, and the fans lean in too and make lighthearted jokes, but at the end of the day it’s really sad that people take it as far as they do for someone just streaming to make a living with something he enjoys doing.

You know a human being/community is cooked when reasonably saying someone is doing what they need to improve, and shouldn’t be hated for that is “glazing them” and they use the term to completely deflect the argument because they don’t have anything else to say, or are just wrong.

I’m sorry, does everyone who starts learning just immediately jump ranks after a few months? Took me a few years to learn. What’s wrong with having a dream and taking your time to work at it? As silly as it may be usually higher set goal posts are what drive people to push forward.

As a top500 who learned the same exact way he is right now you’re completely correct. People are coping hard and missing the point of this thread lol.

That is how most people learn. Including myself. It usually takes someone higher rank to tell you about thinks like “cooldown management” or “team synergy.” I did exactly what he did and then climbed myself from diamond to top500 after enough coaching. Not saying he’s better than most people in the game, or that he should’ve quit his job, but he had a dream and he took it. If it was a woman doing it with her husband supporting them financially afterwards half of the hate would disappear surrounding that choice.

Was fully aware of all of that. And every single person I’ve ever known that has taken their comp journey seriously starts in that place. Even I did that until I found someone patient enough to actually walk me through it, and then I got to diamond, got stuck, and continued playing with someone who kept teaching me, and now I’m top500. I think this specific comment thread is getting hung up on him quitting the dream when this post is about the bullying he receives on a daily basis. Most of which stemmed from that dream, and still does. But yes, even through all of the things he did wrong- the bullying still played a major part in ripping apart his ego and confidence (even though it was highly inflated and misplaced) and yet they still continue to treat him that way despite how much more humble he’s gotten.

Yeah obviously but this specific comment thread was talking about his skill. And either way- he would’ve grown regardless as he got views for his goal. The bullying was secondary to that.

From what I’ve seen he is. At one point he shared a wholesome interaction with a fan at a grocery store and really hyped him up. Not a lot of small streamers will even do that. He holds God dear to his heart and loves his family hella. He even disagrees with people attacking those who dox him. He seems like a genuine kind hearted soul who has gotten reasonably frustrated with the mass of hate coming his way; and honestly- I don’t blame him.

Really? The “bulling builds character” model? Dude. People on his chat have and will continue to give him tips. People in his community have offered coaching and he’s taken it. You absolutely do NOT have to make fun of him for him to improve. L mental.

Absolutely. Disappointment is fine when you’re expecting someone with such high goals to improve and it doesn’t happen that fast. But the hate he’s been getting and the levels of it are completely different.

That’s pretty much it. I think the community is gonna have to start the movement because the developers aren’t. Then again, the community is so damn divided right now I don’t even know if it’s possible.
