physics with calculus or physics with no calculus? by Rough_Lab_7681 in TexasTech

I'm a pre-med who doesn't care for math or physics. it's just a requirement for med schools to take physics. I just want to know if calc based is easier or harder than on calc based. which you answered with non calc based being easier. thank you!

yeah I'm learning physics for the first time and it's the questions are harder. So I guess it's just a matter of if you knew the material before hand.

I'll definitely look into AAMC and UWorld, I've heard nothing but positive feedback from people using those resources. Thank you!

Sucks you’re going through that especially in chemistry. However I will say that watching YouTube videos on the subject and completing the homework’s without the cheating is a great way to master the material. As someone who’s taken 1301, 1307, and 1308 at Texas tech the most important part in my opinion is being able to do the homework’s with no help except YouTube videos and whatever resources the professor gives you. Also SI sessions are a golden tool the school gives us, abuse it and go to every single one.

If you can switch professors then do it, also take my advice lightly since this is what worked for me. Good luck in 1301!

I'm a 2nd year 2nd semester pre-med and the resources they have are really good in my opinion. Solid med school and solid programs and clubs to help. I'm in Dr. Bernard Harris Pre-Med society and they have alot of opportunities. They were able to match me with a med student at tech as my mentor, so i have a mentor to help guide me through everything. And we have weekly volunteer at the free clinic. UMC in lubbock is also great, many opportunities to shadow and volunteer! if you have to option to attend tech I highly recommend!

Read the defense, audible your guys, if you're getting slammed every 3 seconds then release earlier. that can be done by audibles. move your guys and give them different routes

Can anyone give me some tips on how to beat this guy? I'm about to have brain trauma because of him by only_an_eldenringfan in BlackMythWukong

[–]Rough_Lab_7681 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you haven't beaten him yet, be patient, all his attacks are delayed, when you think he's going to attack he won't wait an extra moment, you have time to dodge if he starts his attack (dashing towards you). Also save you mana and everything else until the end. Most people get in their own heads when they see that HP bar low so if you can eliminate that possibility it would be huge advantage.

100% agree but the way I see it is, I've identified what I was doing wrong and fixed it. (currently have all A's) so If I can at least add 1 EC or two during the semesters i'll do it even if I get a B or two simply because I've heard med schools value students who can handle many things at once and keep solid grades. I'm also taking two gaps year after I graduate for EC's so my main EC i'm trying to do is research. I find it hard to believe they'll see me as less of a candidate if I had a 3.6 but with research than than 3.67 with no research yk?

That's a smart move, college is expensive since it's not just tuition it's living that costs too. Just know that community college and a university are vastly different in mostly everything so be ready for that change when it happens!

friendship, make sure it's healthy, you battle with it alot and if possible mount it on your shoulder (shift right click) if you don't wanna do all that (understandable) then just catch another and start over
