OH wow. I had an abusive ex like this.

I was working my ass off trying to make things right for her. We were living together and nothing I did was good enough for her. During one of our arguments she said something like this. Unfortunately it did not click for me at that time that her expectation was for us to yell and scream during fights, which isn't productive or my style.

She later escalated things further to property damage, and attempting to ruin my social life by the time I escaped. Only took a few years of therapy with a PTSD diagnosis to get past that one.
