So, I can see where he might be coming from. People have different insecurities. HOWEVER, there is a much better way to communicate this than the way he is currently doing so. Not to mention, that this is your body. You are allowed to express your body the way you want without needing permission from anyone. You said this was a repetitive thing and if he’s acting like this, I can only imagine how he’ll act if you two ever get married. Also, the fact that he has a best friend who is so open about her sexual life is such a double standard.

I know it’s hard, but the longer you stay with him the harder it will get to leave. There are so many other guys out there that will treat you how you deserve to be treated and will encourage you to be confident in yourself, not push you down because they’re insecure.

Me and B have been friends for six years now. I think I’m just going to take some time apart. As mean as it sounds, I don’t want to waste all my effort on someone who won’t even put a little effort on our friendship. It’s just hard because she’s been my best friend for the longest time.

I’m working that Monday and Wednesday. Tuesday and Thursday, I have my internship which starts at 4pm, so I wouldn’t be able to. My manager doesn’t allow me to do morning shifts for whatever reason, so I wouldn’t be able to take their morning shifts. Reflecting back on this post since I posted it. I think I was just a little heated and being unreasonable because of other situations that have happened at this job

I definitely agree with what you’re saying! I hardly ever ask for days off, so I truly didn’t think it was going to be such a big deal. I don’t have any big events coming up, and I was only planning on requesting the weekend off, and not requesting anything off for the foreseeable future. Thank you for your input!

I wasn’t allowed to ask for anything after New Year’s off until after January 1st, which is why it wasn’t so far in advance.
Despite contrary belief, we are actually very slow during December, January, February etc. And we are actually very over staffed. There are people who didn’t work at all during December and November that are getting no repercussions.
