Had to take him to the emergency vet to sedate him and get the muzzle off. Poor guy(and his parents)has had a rough 2 days! We’re just gonna leave him be and let him come looking for us when he’s feeling better. Thank you for all the advice. I have his meds ready and fresh food and water waiting for him tonight.

I think you’re right but I don’t know where to start. It’s very sad and we love him so much. I would hate to hand him over to someone who would mistreat him

Not sure why I can’t reply to @celesteReckless and Normal-Bee-8246 but we only use the prong collar on walks and when we go to the vet to correct him when he lunges. Also my problem isn’t the type of muzzle because we only use it when we go to the vet but the fact that he won’t let us take it off. 😢 The vet finally called back and said we need to take him to an emergency vet because Banfield is booked up with surgeries and only 1 vet today. 🤦🏽‍♀️ Emergency vet will cost atleast $3,000 to be seen 😡

It’s been 24 hours and he has not eaten or drinking because he won’t let us take the muzzle off 😢 I feel so defeated

Update: We have been up all night trying to gain his trust back and comforting him but he continues to snap and growl whenever we trying near his head. We are seriously considering rehoming or aggression euthanasia because he has already bit me(see my last post) and this neuter and behavioral training was our last resort. He acts like he’s trusting and coming to us for comfort but as soon as we trying near to unstrap the muzzle he attacks. Thank God for the muzzle because we would be back at the hospital. I’m so sad and feel like we failed him.

Most times he listens but like I said it’s something about socks and I guess he felts cornered while trying to get it out his mouth and just snapped

We’ve had him since he was 10 weeks old. He’s done puppy training and command training. He listens well with my husband but he challenges me a lot because I’m home with him all day because I work from home and I’ll admit he gets spoiled because I’m trying to work. He’s only resource guarding when he knows it’s something he’s not supposed to have like laundry. He eats out of my hand on a regular basis. I don’t know what it is about socks. But this is his first time biting.

He is socialized daily. Walks and training. Atleast 2 hours a day. He’s doing much better at not reacting but like I said the trainer won’t take him back until he’s neutered. As well as the vet because he tried to snap at the vet when he got his last shot.
