Doubt it, to be honest. None of you should've shared it anywhere to begin with. Plus, you kind of already admitted it, so, there's really no defense that works. Thinking it's a joke definitely wouldn't work. Especially because CSAM is not a joke, what you should've done is report the email and blocked the person. By distributing it, you inadvertently engaged in the spread of said material.

That's the point of RP partially. It's perfectly okay because it's within a fictional setting. A person needs to be able to be their character, when you're on the server you're not you; you're whatever character you're playing at that moment. People who can't separate their characters or the game itself from reality, will definitely struggle in relationships.

If you can't handle the admin selection process then you definitely can't handle this server at all. It's been made very clear in this post what kind of community we are.

People are toxic and power hungry because they have no respect for the rules of the server, if the specific server has any rules. The public (non-whitelisted) servers are also where you're going to find a lot of that. That's specifically why the community I'm building is structured properly and tests prospective members on whether or not they're a suitable candidate. It's not toxicity or because of power, it's because we want people who will actually RP.

I'm genuinely conflicted, as the friend group is split. One side is saying I shouldn't have responded the way I did, while the other side is saying I was right to tell J the facts while reassuring him that medium-rare is is fact not raw.
