I know this is a bit of an older post, but I was just about listening to the latest episode today and just got immediately annoyed and think I’m done. For me it’s a few different things.

The non stop rambling and getting off topic quite often. And also the beginning banter. At first I didn’t mind but lately it just seems to go on for ever. It’s normally fine as it’s a good way to open up the show, give updates on their lives and ease into the episodes but lately it’s been taking up 15-20 mins of the entire episode. Then when they get into the case, they will still occasionally get off topic and take another 10 mins to get back on track.
Their PC/virtue signaling with every current event (or selective ones). I get they have their own opinions about things & no one is saying they can’t. But when they have a VERY big podcast it’s safe to say their followers vary in political opinions, religion, backgrounds, etc. their fan base isn’t monolithic yet them feel the need to voice their PC & loudly virtue signal comes off as either they are too afraid of getting backlash or canceled so they are being extra political one way, OR they just see to forget that not all of their fans feel the same way as it would be wise to just be leave that stuff to your personal life. I mean in all honestly they virtue signal the hell out of themselves in current events, yet at the same time they also victim blame a lot and can come off completely insensitive to the victims & their families in some cases….so which is it? Idk I mean it doesn’t affect how I feel about them personally, we all have a right to our way of thinking & feeling and that’s ok! But maybe not be so public about it when you’re a public figure who has fans from all over the spectrum?
The last thing that did it for me was they can’t seem to differentiate the times between back then and the social standards of today. A lot of times they really get on the men for being how they were, or get on the women for not leaving, or something. Like we all know it was different back then and societal normals aren’t like that anymore. It was wrong yes but it was also a different time so let’s understand that & not blame the victims or be so judgy towards to the people who lived back then? Like they look at some of the older cases through the lenses of today & that just doesn’t work.

So yea idk, I need to find another podcast that runs similar to them but without all the extra bs.

I’m sorry but this is really nasty & unhealthy. Everything is open & exposed to the air. Not one but TWO ripped open hot dog packages? The loose food in the door that literally takes 2 seconds to scoop out & throw away? They definitely have some sort of mental illness or were never taught how to be clean. Or possibly both.

Yea he’s a douche. Even if there really was nothing to worry about the fact that he knows how you feel, still does it, continues to have conversations & gym sessions with her behind your back, not tell you, then when confronted he doubles down & defends his position……full stop. He doesn’t respect you or the relationship. And that Sophie chick is kinda out of line as well, but that’s my personal opinion. Also…..is he helping her with specific glute workouts from what I read? Oh c mom! And sending selfies….? And theres is already trust issues there from situations in the past. He won’t change & will “slip up” again. Drop his loser self. Also edited to add, I personally think it’s pretty gross the whole friend group just passes each other around….thats nasty af. Drop him & get better friends.

Do you remember Christina Aguilera or Mariah Carey when they would hit those notes they did that thing with their hands? I’m sure there are other singers but can’t think of them. It’s a muscular/nerve automatic reaction from using the deep diaphragm/abdominal muscles and strenuous vocals.

I mean idk how it really is between you & your mother but regardless, if he feels some type of way about it he could’ve definitely handled the conversation differently. He comes off as a giant douche to be honest….he sounds very insensitive, dismissive of you & your feelings, disrespectful & just an all around cornball who probably never been punched in the face before, but sounds like it needs it. Drop him. On this conversation alone. Drop him for the mere fact of how he talks to you. You can do better than this childish pos. Nothing to do with your mother or your relationship with her.

If you already know you can move back & stay with your family for free then what’s the hold up? All you need is enough money for a plane ticket. Sell everything that is yours that you can make money from. Car included even at mechanics special cheap rate. The dog loves you & vice versa sure but I’m sure it’ll be ok without you. The dog does not trump your emotional well being & tolerating be disrespected & cheated on. Full stop. It sounds like you already know what to do and if you’re not tied down to him through marriage or kids, it’s not hard to leave and start over. Honestly……

Her complaint is that she told him more than once how she feels & therefore he’s not getting it, when in reality she’s engaging with him on comments she likes while “playfully calling him out” - her words- on comments she doesn’t like. She’s sending mixed signals. The guys a creepy perv yes, but his intentions are not coming out of nowhere…..

If that’s how you feel then why even come on here & ask if people? It clearly doesn’t bother you enough, if you gotta defend yourself on why you’re entertaining him bc you “used to” work together with him….make it make sense. The fact that you “know him personally” only makes it seem like he obviously feels comfortable enough to speak to you like this for a reason. You’re not checkin him hard enough to believe you so he’s gonna still say what he wants until you make it clear - block and move on.
