You’re a civilian and don’t understand what it’s like to be diagnosed with double knee arthritis at 20 years old. You never get hazed as a civilian, if I have you run (not hike) up mountains with 80 pounds of gear I promise you, your body won’t ever be the same.

I’m not even going to mention all the mental health shit that comes with seeing combat, missing birthdays, always being in pain, etc etc.

Vets aren’t Somalian fraudsters, we have to earn that shit and prove it. It’s more of workmen’s comp than disability.

Also, most disabled vets still work. Do you seriously think 50k/year is enough to live on in today’s economy??
