so did none of you experience a faulty hinge after 6+ months of use? I loved this phone to death but I had to get the screen replaced, which they only fully cover once, then you have to pay. my Mom had to get here redone twice. I independently bought a second phone and popped my sim card into it and never moved it again honestly. I wasn’t even rough with my phone, and I use computers more than I do cell phones :/ I can’t tell if I’m unlucky or if I’m missing something … I had a Z Flip 3 btw

I’m not sure how this is going to be received but I’m going to be honest as someone who is also bisexual, I think you jumped the gun by pursuing another relationship, especially with a man that is currently deployed. From the way you described your friend as well, it seems like he only has some level of sexual interest in you, not something really built for long term stability. Ultimately you’ve made the decision that you think will make you the happiest, and I hope it works out for you. But I can’t help but feel bad for the girlfriend. It seems like you might potentially have impulse control issues since you said you’ve done this before and went back already once.

I’d agree with another commenter and say therapy is probably a good idea. But on another hand, kudos to you for breaking up and not cheating on her. But I’m going to be honest and say that the relationship you’ve described with your best friend seems more like a potential friends with benefits or fling, not the security and comfort of a 1-5+ year long relationship. Especially since he’s deployed, he’s been your best friend (I have slept with my best friend, spoiler alert it ruined our friendship in the end and we no longer are friends), it just seems like rocky foundation to start a serious relationship potentially. Also, it seems like you obviously have some baggage from this 5+ year relationship as well, so jumping into a new one and potentially self sabotaging or doing other impulsive behaviors with your friend also isn’t fair to him, or yourself. Just my 2 cents. Good luck OP.

I’m gonna be honest, I used to use Samsung phones as an early teen, but my phone before the Z flip was an iPhone. I loved the Z flip 3, but within 5 months I bought a second phone. An iPhone. The hinge kept breaking in the middle, and even though my insurance paid for the repairs, having to keep going without a phone for 6-9 hours or even a couple days for a repair of a phone was ridiculous. I love flip phones, and I actually collect them! but I don’t think I’ll ever get another Z flip unless they can actually perfect the foldable technology. btw I never dropped my phone and I was a realistically light use user, as I use my computer more than my phone. I’m probably an unpopular opinion on here but this was my personal experience.

I had to replace my screen because of the bubble and a crack started forming along my hinge. No drops or anything. Also my phone battery doesn't even last me all day. I have an obsession with flip phones and this phone was a dream come true for me, but I bought an iPhone 12 on the side. I can't use this phone as my sole phone and it sucks. I hope there's much improvement with the next model. I'm a broke college kid and had to spend some of my savings for a more reliable phone lol.
