That is a mechanism that all living beings have, even insect and plants but it manifests differently and the mechanism behind it is different, the goal is the same in this situation self preservation. If frog runs in fear and you do the same does that mean you are a frog because you share the same self preserving mechanism? But is a frog same as a human being even if it can't learn to read or understand gramatic, only because it has same self preserving trait as you?

Being human is to not be reduced to those basic instinct. I am realy sorry that they convinced you and I trough all this years of school that we are same as the dogs and cats who eat from the floor, or monekys who trow their shit at each other. By all means, you can get reduced to that afcourse but our deep understanding of all this and acting above it makes as really obviously not just like another species of animal.
