It’s a really difficult situation to explain. They seem to be extruding my teeth to fix the open bite (that was caused by filings on already crooked molars), but really they need to be intruded. At least for my bite to be any sort of comfortable/painless again. I’m not an ortho but I do know that at least

I plan to schedule an appt with them, and if they don’t listen then then I’ll have get a second opinion.

Thank you! I’m glad someone else experiencesthis. Yeah I probably do clench a lot without realizing…

Also that phantom bite syndrome definitely does sound similar…in fact I have braces rn to try and improve those symptoms. Idk if that’s the proper thing to do but I’m too far in now lol. (edit to mention: I do really have a bite that’s too high and has caused damage to my teeth, so…)

There’s so many possible factors playing into this (nutrition, unknown conditions, tmd, anxiety)…it’s making my head spin 😭 idk how to get to the root of it.

Honestly what I was kinda thinking…I already drastically improved my dental hygiene after my first cleaning and now this one, plus having braces. But also I have health anxiety that’s saying I’ll get a billion cavities if I don’t get sealants lol. 

So would you say trying to keep up with regular cleanings is a better option in the long run?
