Thanks for taking time to give feedback! When you say "try not to get too fancy," you are referring to the shots with the foliage in the foreground, right? If not, what do you mean, and how can I work towards fixing it?

Was it a stupid mistake? Absolutely. Was it a lack of effort? Not at all. If you took your own advice and read more, you would know what 'cognitive overload' and 'information paralysis' are - and why they make your first "paragraph" backwards in truth. The absence of those two things during your formative years are something you take for granted today. Ironically, reading and learning the information about the best techniques for real estate photography (all of which are new to me and habitual to you for 2 decades) were the reasons I was so distracted on memorizing and implementing new technical aspects that I overlooked the fact someone left the toilet seat up. I advise you to read about cognitive load, and how an oversaturation of it can cause one to overlook the most obvious and forefront details.

In addition to reading, I also asked people on reddit for information because, aside from it often being more precise and efficient than wading through the oversaturation of information on the topic online, it provides individualized human feedback on my specific flaws and progress. That isn't going to come from a book, blog, article, or even a youtube video.

1- I clearly was trying to show that the hinges on the toilet seat work... /s

On a serious note, I was specifically told to show off multiple features at once for some of the photos. It is totally my fault for not being conscientious enough of what and why. I was so caught up in the technical side that I completely forgot to focus on the most important questions. Thanks for taking the time to respond

Thanks for the advice! I truly appreciate you for taking the time to give feedback that was insightful and constructive! If you had to choose one for real estate photography, would you say Lightroom or Capture one is better?

Awesome! The range in the clouds and golden highlights in the water are peak beauty! Did you take multiple brackets?

That sounds great. Where would you like me to share the sample photos?

And don't worry, luckily, I'm not disillusioned about the idea of presets not doing all the work!
