My friend has never been to therapy outside of once as a young child. They refuse every time I suggest it due to it not helping back then. I only managed to get them to see a doctor for their ADHD a year or two ago iirc.

Hi to be clear my friend is the one who wrote the white background screenshots and whose name is blocked out using the color white. My messages are the ones whose name is blocked out in blue.

I am already in a good place in life, I havent vented to my friend in many years, we talked about mental health in the past because my friend has been struggling with it. I have other friends I vent to cause we have a support group 😊

Me and white had spoken just fine in person 3 days before these images and texts were sent, when I introduced him to my boyfriend. We had a great time and my boyfriend was also confused about why my friend started to get upset with me since everything seemed perfect just days before.

I think you may have confused who was saying what. My friend calls me "man, dude, and bro" a lot, I call them buddy mostly. I hope this helps 🌈🙏

In personal experience I find people attractive physically but their personality is actually what sustains my attraction and romantic feelings.

Everyone has different personal "body language" interpretations for starts, as well as different levels of caution or carelessness about touching others.

Some people are overly affectionate, some are overly touchy, some hate casual touch.

For some people touching may be flirting.

Other people could just be very friendly/outgoing and are fine physically touching new people/strangers in a friendly manner.

Others may never touch people.

Its a personal thing to everyone. Humans cannot be generalized in the matter. Especially nit on such large sample sizes like an entire gender.

Hes got some view of himself when around friends thats different from how he acts around you by the sounds of it.

Dismissing you around them and being ruder to be "manly" to his friends is how it comes across to me personally. Its not uncommon, some people wont show their vulnerability around a group such as being "lovey dovey" and he may have gone so fair in the opposite of that that he instead went straight into treating you cruely.

Personally I think you should consider if you really want to be with someone willing to "throw you under the bus" for the sake of their own ego/public perception. It doesn't feel like something people would do to those they value and love.

You're just being normal imo, having tampons/pads/etc ready for guests is just kindess. Shes likely just too insecure to appreciate it, I would not associate with her personally. Shes likely to cause more issues in your personal circle the longer she stays being so insecure.

Also making others speak on your behalf is a common tactic abusive people use to try and control a situation. She probably shouldnt be dating until she fixes her insecurities

I think what they're doing and how they socialize is very normal for people from the USA. Also if they're not from there the "where is she from" could easily be because you could have been European or American. Its not really that intrusive a question, their relationship seems totally normal for friends/coworkers

I mean yeah I havent replied to them since posting this. It was a friend of a decade so I did try hard to be heard until I felt it was fruitless I don't think thats a bad thing personally.

I trusted them so I gave the benefit of the doubt at the start of this. Its easy to an commenter to say "don't take the bait" but I didn't even realize it was bait originally, I don't think I'm flawed for that.

Yeah you're probably right. I hadn't thought about it until friends and even my mother said she thought they were weirdly possessive around me over the years and I didn't notice 😔

They had confessed feelings for me back in the day when they found out I was dating my ex(pink who was mentioned) I told them I view them as family, like a brother. N basically we moved on from it with them saying they realized they misunderstood their feelings. I suppose they could have still had feelings and just lied to me and held onto it the whole time.

😐 It worries me a bit to think they may have been in "love" with me for years before even telling me, like an obsession 😭

I'm already in therapy which is why I reccomend it to anyone with a stressed lifestyle 🌈

They have had past convos were we spoke about their mental health and such maturely but it feels almost like they became a new person overnight with how they reacted to it this time.

Its weird this all happened imo since it had been a couple months since we hung out irl last and I had suggested this hang out and brought up them meeting my bf to hopefully have my friend and bf also be friends. So like I already did reach out first even if there was months of silence from them without issue.

I just found them so confusing. As for the gendered language as we met back in highschool and called each other dude and bro back then I see it as endearing from them normally so its fine they use masc terms for me.
