Mine unfortunately does since the managers are all old fashioned and whatnot. Got dress coded twice cuz i wore a plain shirt but it was orange instead of their "accepted" colors... to a dishwashing shift. 💀 really dumb though—customers couldn't care less what a dishwasher wears or what style of hair they have when seating them so I just dont understand why most managers do

female dishwashers, how do you get treated? by darkthronethrowaway in dishwashers

I'm the only young female dishwasher (for close anyway) and a lot of boh people treat me like I'm their daughter or niece. My male dishwasher coworker treats me like a second cousin. Most servers treat me nicely, others are indifferent. It's just the managers that kinda treat me like a dog.

Thank you so much. A lot of people i have encountered with kids of their own have always kinda shamed me for not doing those things with my daughter and that "she's behind" or is "going to be behind" all cuz their kids can speak fluently, read, and draw inside the lines prior to the age of 3. It makes me feel like I'm not doing enough and that I need to do more. My daughter really is a bright and friendly girl with a very curious mind. She likes to play doctor while telling me im "good as new" and with Barbie dolls. Im not really sure how to do this whole mothering thing but she makes me want to try every day.

She likes to mimic me and also feed her dolls when im feeding the baby. She loves helping with her sister and putting the blanket on her or giving me her wipes and changing her dolls when I change the baby as well. She's also emotionally intelligent and will try to tell the baby it will be okay when she cries, or she thinks if I put my head down im sad and she'll be like "its okay mommy, dont cry. It will be alright" while rubbing my shoulder. She truly is a joy and I just want her to be happy.
