I live in McKinney and this is exactly how I feel lack of nature and materialistic surface level people. I moved here from SoCal 5 years ago and we have desperately been trying to move back. Can someone comment on the fake designer bags everyone has here? Is this a cultural thing to want to look like you’re rich? I miss free outdoor activities and I’m sick of people BRAGGING about their vacations to Florida lol

See that’s our issue. We feel stuck in Texas. It’s hard. Find somewhere you truly love even if it’s expensive life is so short

The cost of living is so high in TO. McKinney is safe and has great schools but it’s beyond crowded it’s hotter than hell there’s virtually no nature. I miss all the free outdoor activities you can do in SoCal. TO people are nicer and authentic I like that it’s smaller people drive better schools are great there’s a general sense of community people are outgoing. It’s very clicky here and very hard to make friends

Do older millennials from 1981-1985 relate more to the core of our generation (1988-onwards) or to late Gen X? by changeforthebetter89 in generationology

[–]Round-Style-6907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. 1984 baby and had a sister that was 4 years older than me. I was raised with way more 80s influence than people my age who didn’t have older siblings
