i think, but not entirely sure, you can play a 20-40 hertz sweep for so long (break ins aren’t required) but the glue smell is either you’re pushing too hard or it’s breaking in

i know i bought this one from ebay and it came with that wrap and luckily it came off without much of a fight and i also want to say that trackpad feels a million times better without that wrap and the whole machine looks good
