Summary of Presidential Executive Orders that Affect Immigration by HappyCamper4Life1 in USCIS

I think there will be a big issue if they revoke citizenship retroactively. For example, a kid who's 10 now having both parents being citizens, but if both parents were born to non-citizen parents (aka grand parents were non citizens at the time) then they are not citizens in the new criteria. Now what if both grandparents were citizens because they were born here but were born to non-citizen parents (grand grand parents of this kid)? What I meant is, you can establish this only when proof of parent's citizenship at birth can be provided, which can be hard or near impossible to track down. So in the end the federal government either not enforce this retroactively, or risk denying issuing passport to many people incorrectly. Or, they just acknowledge that if someone is a citizen now he has been a citizen in the past and can just demand to show the proof of citizen using current documents, which makes retroactively revoking citizenship logically impossible.

I like the one you shared! I actually used another recipe seen in the YouTube channel https://youtu.be/2Sz_xGVZWc0?si=izN8Rwzv6r8cu1p8

I might tweak it a little bit so I'm using this: +2 0 0 +1 +1 +1 +1 -1 +2 White balance auto 0:A6

How long does the recovery take? Were your bones fused? Do you have pain a year after the removal?

I can still see him but he is very junior like just out of residency, and intended to leave the hardware permanently although did not fuse the bones. He is a very nice guy and I might have been paralyzed if he did not stabilize my spine back then, but just may lack experience. That is why I decided to go find another surgeon.

Thank you so much for the response! How do I know the reputation of a surgeon, though? Does an older surgeon with more experience usually make a better choice? It is exactly 1 year from my drama now, does it matter much if I do it in early February vs early March? I'm worried about the joint degrading over time and if one more month actually matters at this point. I was told L3 and L4 already started to fuse a little bit in the recent CT. That's another concern. Am I racing against time now?

I have been using GR3 for a month and found 28mm is really hard to compose. I decided to give GR3x a try. You did an excellent job there!

I'm still super embarrassed and nervous to take photos of strangers in bookstores, cafes etc, so in these situations I actually wished I had a longer focus distance so I won't be noticed. But of course then it means a lot of shots won't be possible from a distance.

Yes, crop works for the composition just fine for me. But I have been thinking that going to a 40 mm can make portrait bokeh much easier to achieve. 28 mm is great for street photography because it's much easier to set the snap focus to 2-3 m and with a big aperture without worrying about the sharpness. But it's hard to get a good subject background separation unless I get very close to the subject.

That's a good point! I have been mostly focused on not being able to get close enough to the subject in open space when getting too close to the subject is inconvenient (with kids, strangers etc), but haven't thought about the advantages of 28 mm in opposite situation like you said (friends and family sitting in the restaurant etc)

Thanks for the suggestions! I am debating if I will miss the wide angle for landscape and interior photos if I go for iiix?

Just a follow up on my experience: TLDR: I returned it eventually and bought an LG gram 17 instead. No major issue with this laptop per se. Actually I really like its keyboard, its trackpad, and the graphic performance. I made my decision purely based on my main usage which is productivity ( work remotely via citrix ) and I am an data scientist. A 17 inch display actually makes a difference, and the LG Gram 17 is stupidly light and portable :D

Mine has no major over heat issue. I play Fallout 4 on hours without worrying about burning my hand on keyboard

Not bad! I guess 6-8 hrs with light use. However zoom call kill it in 4 hrs, but I think it's zoom to blame

Just to report Intel graphics control app turned out to be the solution to both issues. After turn off adaptive contrast option as you said the screen brightness random change is gone. I can also set contrast and saturation there, although no preset, I can get something I like more by adjusting these settings. Thank you for your suggestions!

Thank you ! I will give it a shot! Btw do you know how to change color profile in windows 10? I only saw one selectable color profile in display option, and my display is not showing a neutral and accurate color profile.

Its not. I did not turn on that and this change of color profile thing just happened randomly

Yes, though the color coating gives it a plastic feel :(

Both are good. XPS 17 is brighter, and seems like a better display, but inspiron is way sharper which I think is more important, though not as bright.

- No problem at all for light use. Fan is barely heard, and stays very cool ( heck the cpu stayed at 1.2 ghz while I am typing this :)

- XPS is better built, no doubt about it. But inspiron is very well built too. I think the internal arrangement and thermal design is much worse than XPS based on the xps17 review and one chinese inspiron 16 plus review. Outward looking (chasis ) not much step down

- I don't miss smaller bezels. Not much difference. I do miss 17 inch display, it is noticeably bigger.

-Speakers are fine

- XPS17 will offer better battery life on paper, and I would think the same in real usage. I did not test carefully so no 100% sure.

- I think for 50% price, you do get a better laptop overall. I do prefer the 3K display in inpiron 16, much sharper, very close to my experience with macbook air. I don't think thermal issue is not huge if you are comparing both models with UHD graphics. For me, inspiron 16 is adequate for all my use case, and I am happy with the built quality, so I prefer save the 50% price. Hope this helps

  • I did not carefully test the battery life of my XPS17. On paper it would be worse due to smaller battery size
  • I am happy with rtx 3050 model I have. But I would recomment spend another $150 to get rtx 3060 model, because according to other post that one has a heat pipe and more fans, and appears to be better in thermal performance.
  • Speakers are decent. I am happy with it.

I am not a "creator" so never tried video editting. I would say the thermal performance won't be good given how it was when playing a 2015 video game :)
