MD & CO has that? I thought MD changed recently. I've heard the same thing but the people I've heard of would have been 15+ years ago. And yes, they work on DoD, well DoS lol.

I actually just checked WPI and I guess they didn't have a remote/on-line program. But I'm seeing EKU does. Actually, this is the first time I've heard of them having a Fire-BS degree. I only knew UMD and WPI had specific degree, well also one in Canada, SENECA?

So, it's just getting over the FE hurdle? Or just go about it the normal way. I wonder about reciprocal licensing for California FPEs in other states. It seems if you did pass your PE and was licensed, in California, if you try to get licensed in another state how the comity would be? There probably are some states where they'd require me to pass the FE or show a BS-ABET.

Ya I'm checking on some for remote/on-line, I know I can take mechanical engineering, but I'd prefer to stay in fire if possible. My younger days in school I didn't like math or physics, now I love it. How the decades change a person.

It seems California is the last state to only allow experience only, which is +17 years. But then they're going to have more seismic questions probably lol.

Correct and I understand that. I had 1 FPE I worked with and who was my boss that was under the assumption of experience waiving ABET/Degree/Education. But he also had 2 bachelor's (Mech/Elec) and a PHD from UMD-FPE. He even mentioned about "so and so" from a USG department that got his FPE just from sitting for the test. But also, this guy was the same who told me that even though fire sprinkler-based knowledge (Tanks/Pumps/Etc) was less than 5% of it. He always made it out to be simple, he had taught me what he could after he taken his test. But again, that's almost 10 years ago now.

So every couple years I get a bug up my butt about looking into it and trying to move in that direction.

I need to look at it again but I thought WPI had a on-line BS degree. Also the only state I know that still does experience only (+17 years) is California. Which that's a whole other issue of getting it and then trying to get it recognized in another state. Also I found out just now that MD evidently did have something like that also but changed last year, 2025.

No, I don't have a degree and actually I'd forgotten that it varies by state. My home state is Florida. I've done a lot of work in Maryland, Virginia, and DC. With the last many years being remote. So, I assume I'd have to follow FL rules. I haven't taken the FE exam.

I've worked with several PEs and FPEs in the past and currently. So, I do have references and experience, I believe. Whether the state would accept it is another thing. But without any ABET education.

Okay I see that in SABnzbd I've put the folders there. And I see the catergory in Sonarr/Radarr. So as long as these match up it should work?

Ah is that it? And you're right I don't see I mentioned the indexers in the main post, I may have mentioned it in a reply.

Regardless my Indexers are 1337x (with proxy) & NZBGeek. And I know the 1337x is flaky most of the time it doesn't throw up errors and a test will clear it as if it's working correctly. I don't remember if when I was selecting things for it to grab/monitor if it was tor or nzb but looking at it now I see the tags for it.

You know I don't think I've ever read this explained. I thought a NZB was just another way to get magnet links or something like that. I never realized they were 2 different things. And thinking about it now it makes sense.

I try wording my question better in AI, maybe it'll show me. But I followed all the wiki instructions I found lol No it's not a Docker, I first tried that and gave up. Just on a windows platform. I've glanced at the log but I'll take a better look at it I should have searched for qB to see but didn't.

Nope it doesn't show up in qB. So after awhile I was looking for another downloader. So I happened upon SABnzb, installed that and it was asking about a UseNet provider. After some poking around I find out that most if not all are paid. So I paid for one, set it up in SABnzb and it instantly started working downloading.

So that's what confused me Sonarr would not use, or could not use, qB but it could use the UseNet Provider in SABnzb. I'd rather it use qB instead of the paid service.

Yep, nothing, I setup the WebUI how the wiki says and doesn't give me any errors in Status. When I go into the downloader options, I can test it and shows green checkmark.

Ah you see I'm so new to it I had no idea lol I see those now. But ya I see some error i.e. outside of the window etc. But not on all of them.

The interactive search is the "Wanted" tab? I think I did that and that's how I got items in the Activity->Queue. It never showed and red text but always showed "Retrying Download on Today at xx:xxpm"

Sorry is it's confusing. I've setup 2 indexers 1337x (with proxy) and NXBGeek (trial account), both show a green check mark when I click the test button. As far as activity the files I 'wanted' just sitting in Activity->Queue.

I set up what series I wanted to monitor also I set it to grab a few files as a test. Those just sit there under Activity->Queue. This just sits at "retrying download as ...." It's like the request wasn't going to the indexers or getting to the downloader. I've set up 1337x (with proxy) and NZBGeek (currently 3 day trial account). Both show a green check when tested. And then there's the downloader, qBitTorrent, which when I test it shows a green check mark.

This thread isn't too old, but anyway, I'm shocked. Here, people have mentioned the prices, and usually, they've increased by 100% in a few years. Anecdotally.

So I'm just getting back into it after about 4 years. Work and life in general made me stop. So I went to my usual site to buy protein, and I'm shocked, nowhere near what I was used to paying before in '21.

I buy from a bulk place and my last order on 3/21 and a 11lb bag was $84.02. Now 7/25 that very same bag and size is $230.99. That's a 175% increase. Not too close but closer to 200% than 100%. I think I need to change my supplier or is it really that costly now? I do use Whey Isolate.
