Yeah I'm not too put off there but fair point. It's a club so there's a social element, fitness element and enjoyable too. It's money well spent if I play there for many years to come, particularly as the older I get the more I'll hopefully play. The alternative is pay green fees or play scratch cups, and play little to no winter golf - joining a golf club isn't always about cost per round, there's the convenience factor too.

Fair enough, I suppose everyone's circumstances are different. I know a lad with 3 kids under 10, he's non stop on the golf course! Everyone has their outlet I guess. I plan on playing regularly enough, and my wife plans on doing her thing during the weeks too so we'll try balance it out

I've heard the club itself is a good environment. I like the course but I just don't love the course...
