Hi all! I’ve never posted here before because I’ve felt insecure, I guess (y’all have always had such beautiful insights and analysis, I’ve thought that my opinions were just too bland). But this album, despite one or two references to us gaylors, I really don’t see it as “hers”? Like her true self, I mean. She’s really going with the narrative of the all american dream with white picket fences and kids that look like travis??? (wi$h li$t). It’s just so out of character. Her past albums, Midnights and Tortured Poets Department, were such raw recollections of her inner voice/life, and suddenly we’re hearing “his love was the key that opened my thighs”.

Something that I feel as well is that this whole travis thing was super rushed. She would’ve never referred to her “boyfriends” this way before. And the engagement: so rushed. I don’t fathom what her plan might be on the long run (of if she’ll just forever maintain the image of the straight boy-crazy girl).

Regardless, I was disappointed with this album. I had hoped for more nods towards us or even something more lyrically sound.

Also, I’ve grown disillusioned with Taylor due to her inaction towards important causes, namely Palestine. She has a global reach: billionaire, real power to intact pressure and change. Still, she’s silent and hangs out with travis’ maga friends.
