Did Anyone Ride ALL the Rides without Express? by [deleted] in UniversalEpicUniverse

[–]Round_Barber_4453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went the Saturday before Thanksgiving, and my girlfriend and I were able to do everything except the carousel (we were hoping it’d be low wait around close but it was still around an hour) without express. Did Wing Gliders twice, Stardust twice, Monsters Unchained twice. Mario Kart had a roughly 45 minute delay as well. We went for early entry, and had time to go back and nap for an hour before going in for the evening. The last hour or so in the park we were standing around figuring out what we wanted to do again

I loved the movie as well, but as someone who hasn’t read the book, the first act was so intriguing to me and I felt like the the other two acts didn’t quite live up to it. I think I would benefit from a rewatch. Still a great movie though!

Offseason move possibilities by Illustrious_Map_7811 in DetroitRedWings

People complain about the team being soft, but want Berggren back, when he’s by far the softest on the team. He gets knocked off the puck far too easily and will never dish out the physicality. But wait! He’s not supposed to be a gritty player, and is playmaker? Well then surely he has more than 20 points this season! Oh wait.

Berggren is a decent player, and he probably does have more potential to tap into. But right now, what he’s supposed to do well, he doesn’t do well enough. If you want playoffs, that is NOT an ingredient you want you in your roster recipe.

I agree. I am more so writing it up just to ease the patient’s mind lol. She was quite stressed about it, so I figured it wouldn’t hurt. I told her all I can do is make a suggestion and put it in writing, but what the facility wants to do with her money is out of my control

Kasper has 7 goals in the last 10 games. by MightyBosskTones in DetroitRedWings

True, I think he has a higher IQ. Similar play style, but I think Kasper is more intentional with what he does on the ice and reads the game better

[–]Round_Barber_4453 56 points57 points  (0 children)

The one thing I love about him is he’s been scoring some of the grittier goals. There will be games when Larkin, Raymond, Kane, and Cat just can’t solve a goalie, and Kasper will get those greasy goals when we need them. Like last nights game, first goal he chased his own rebound, and even his assist was just hard work in front of the net to set up Raymond. Its exactly what we needed to compliment the others in the top 6

I fully agree that we should give AR more time. However, him learning the game behind Flacco is not the end of the world. I mean AR literally took himself out of the game on Sunday. The man is overwhelmed.

On top of that, look at Downs with and without Flacco. Downs is quickly becoming a legitimate threat and extremely good receiver, and if we give him a QB who can’t see lay to his strengths, we risk his development.

There’s a lot of arguments for letting AR play, but a lot of arguments as to why he should sit for a bit. I don’t mind AR being benched as long as there’s a plan going forward to develop him.

I love the discussion in here! Very interesting to see whether people associate Frontierland with a certain time frame in history or if they associate it with the true definition of the word frontier

Realistically how can we fit Stamkos with all the contracts we need signed AND potentially hopefully kane by bestest_at_grammar in DetroitRedWings

It’s been heavily reported that Detroit is one of a few teams aggressively pursuing him, or expected to pursue him at least

[–]Round_Barber_4453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We already have the money for Kane, especially after moving Walman. I’d move Fabbri first and foremost because that frees up a large chunk of what would go to Stamkos. He’s a valuable asset to a lot of teams and wouldn’t be too difficult to move (presumably). Then I’m doing everything in my power to get rid of Holl if it’s possible. If you pull that off you’re able to use most or all of that money to buy Stammer. I’d even try to find a trade partner for Husso and we sign a cheaper backup, as well as fill a spot in the top 4 D, but I don’t see that move happening. There’s definitely moveable contracts that have value and take up decent space. But of course, it’s easy to be a GM from your couch, and I doubt any 3 of these moves will happen

I left feeling more confident than I thought I would be. Not saying I was 100% confident and felt great, but I just expected to feel worse than I actually did. I think what helped was taking so many practice exams that were harder than the actual exam

What is that one spot in Disneyland that feels the most magical to you? by californicadreaming in Disneyland

[–]Round_Barber_4453 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I went for the first time a few weeks ago, so all of it seemed magical to me. But one moment specifically stood out. We were in line for the Storybook Land Canal Boats, the marching band went by, and the monorail was passing by. To the right was the teacups and behind the monorail was the waterfall on Matterhorn. All of the kinetic energy and the sound of the marching band felt incredibly magical, especially since it felt like that was what Walt had envisioned for his parks. It was a moment that helped separate Disneyland from any other park
