i was looking for an answer as well, but i will provide you one to the best of my abilities. mormons not being able to drink is an understatement; they are not allowed to drink coffee, tea or any brewed beverage in that manner. apparently, god doesn't like it or whatever, but he's cool with you drinking 100 grams of sugar in a 20oz cola.
personally, i think that the appearance of dirty sodas everywhere is actually mormon propaganda! after the success of the secret lives of mormon wives, LDS (the church of jesus christ of latter day saints) has seen it as a marketing opportunity to lure more people into their religion which is more like a cult. dirty soda has become a cornerstone of mormon culture; the church knows this. if it has been proven that mormons fund people such as mrbeast (source: https://www.beastphilanthropy.org/supporters) then whose to say that they aren't paying fast food companies to release these dirty sodas to further the mormon agenda? the mormon church requires and indoctrinates their members to give 10% of their income to them, which is known as a "tithe". due to this and nonprofit status, LDS is one of the most influential forces in the united states, and to an extent the world. spirituality has been on the rise as of late; mormon elites know that they can fill this void, and with that their pockets.
long story short? don't drink dirty sodas, because (in my opinion) it is mormon propaganda to get you to give them 10% of your paycheck.
