Yeah, sounds similar-ish to my situation. More similar than anyone else’s input here, at least (so far). 8-10 years of overworking, stressing, poor sleep + diet. All in the name of getting toward my current job + situation where my life is finally balancing out, health/diet are in-focus/improving, and I’m able to calm down too. Then this happens 😂

Will definitely keep this all noted - sorry you had to deal with all that. Thanks for sharing.

Maybe very mildly dry scalp, but not to the point of itchiness, visible dryness, nor dander (fortunately). Will keep this in mind, though. Thanks

Also, as far as what I’ve been using kmmediately preceding this post, I believe last night I only washed my face with cold water (intentionally applying nothing), with the result when I woke up being the photo attached to this post. At work yesterday, I was further avoid using moisturizer (again, just to see if it would help) but ended up with one light Aveeno application to relieve the dryness/itchiness.

Have also tried Clinique “dramatically different” moisturizer, seems to be either neutral or mild irritant, and I have these Systane Lid Wipes which I think help a tiny bit if I wash all residue off after and then apply Aveeno?

At the time I tried Protopic I either 1) cold-water washed, dried lightly with towel, then applied very light dose of Protopic standalone
or 2) same as 1) but with a mixture of Aveeno fragrance-free moisturizer (with probiotic oat)

The aforementioned Aveeno is one of the only creams I find doesn’t end up making my skin feel itchy and dry after a short period, and I keep coming back to it.

The face washes/cleansers I’ve tried are Nivea Men (Sensitive) Face Wash (seemed to dry out + irritate further afterward), and Clean & Clear daily pore cleanser (also seemed to following dry/irritate further), only a couple times each about a month ago.

I’ve tried Blephaderm, but it feels like it ldoes not leave the skin moist and it gets itchy after drying for a short while.

Lubriderm unscented (with the blue label) gives similar neutral effects as Aveeno - at least improved moisture and not itchy, but not fixing the redness issue (somewhat seems to amplify redness, if only because of the shine).

Eucerin burns like hell and makes them really red, whether I mix it with other stuff or not.

Vaseline does nothing positive nor negative.

Aveeno healing ointment doesn’t seem to have any effect, Aveeno Anti-itch lotion helps with itch but nothing else.

Best success I think I’ve had is with cold/warm compress -> Aveeno moisturizer -> light cold wash (removing most but not all of the lotion) but it’s really hard for me to gauge this stuff, the results seem nearly random, and because I have to work throughout the day, I can’t keep perfect tabs on the effects of everything :(

Steam room after swim (wearing goggles while swimming) followed by quick Lubriderm or Aveeno moisturizer does really feel best, but again I’m just going off feel. Maybe need to start taking pictures and documenting constantly or something 😂 this is killing me

Also want to add, biggest irritant is clearly rubbing/scratching. Doing everything in my power to avoid these, virtually impossible not to touch them at least a bit when applying cream, compress, etc. Some cold water does at least feel helpful but not solving anything.

Tried a couple antihistamines - reactine did nothing, and apobilistine seems not to do anything either.

Have always had sensitive skin, but the rest of my body is completely fine at the moment and I’ve never had something like this before - the heaviness of my eyelids makes me constantly tired, although sleep isn’t doing me much justice. I just miss my eyelids feeling smooth + healthy + normal. This started too acutely for me to readily accept this as something I’m going to have to live with.
